juniper was a dreamer - but never a believer. she had dreams, but never believed they would come true.
just like she never believed in the supernatural. if something in the world didn't have a logical explanation, then she didn't believe in it.

chapter twenty | my tears ricochet ———————————————————————
when the guys poofed back to the studio, junie wasn't there. they had searched all night for her, but it was like she had disappeared- no trace left of her.
since it was morning, the guys went to find julie to ask if they had seen her, and when she said no, they began to panic.
they just told julie that juniper was upset and poofed away, and they couldn't find her. they couldn't tell her the truth- not yet anyways. not without junie. they asked julie if she had any idea on where they would go, but she couldn't think of anything.
"what do we do? she can't have just disappeared. she's gotta be here somewhere!" reggie spoke, worry laced in his voice.
julie looked at him sympathetically. she knew that the bassist had feelings for the golden girl- anyone could tell from a mile away. she continued to pace in her room but stopped when her eyes zero'd in on a picture on her dresser. the picture of her and her mom in the flower field.
the flower field that juniper said looked exactly like the one that was outside her family home growing up.
julie gasped, making the guys look at her. "guys, remember when you all saw this picture and junie said this flower field looks like one she used to have outside her old family home? what if she went there!"
"good idea! only, we have no idea where it is." alex said, sass laying thickly over the worry he was feeling.
"im sure my dad will remember where it is, he's the one who drove us there!"

once julie and the boys arrived at the flower field, they searched for juniper but they couldn't find her. it wasn't until luke looked up and saw a cottage in the distance that he had an idea.
"hey, do you think that was her house? it looks abandoned."
"i mean, it would make sense. she said the flower field was at the back of her house. shall we go check it out? like you said luke, it looks abandoned, so nobody should be there." julie said, and they all headed towards the house.
from afar, they admired the cottage. it looked so cosy, so full of life. but as they got closer, it looked haunted and cold. the widows were cracked, and burn marks were seen around the edge of the door. the four bandmates all looked at each other skeptically before stepping inside- all of them sucking in a breath at the sight in front of them.
the inside of the house looked like it had been burnt down, which would explain the burn marks on the outside. the walls and floors were black, with some furniture broken while some were still standing strong. they saw empty beer cans scattered around the room, and broken glass.
