(You guys get this a day earlier than I anticipated because it would be the ultimate disrepect + gnarliest decision ever to post this on the one year anniversary of Banana Kid's first death by nuclear radiation-)
JJ slipped his knife out of his pocket, grinning in satisfaction as he approached Banana Kid's house. With each step, he was getting closer and closer to freedom. But Banana Kid? He was about to experience the exact opposite.
JJ started to wonder where exactly he'd hold Banana Kid captive once he kidnapped him. But as he began to overthink, he forced himself to forget about it - he had bigger things to worry about right now. He knew Banana Kid wouldn't answer the door if he just showed up in plain sight, so he had to lure him out some other way.
At this time, he'd definitely be trying to sleep. If JJ made some noise that kept him from it, he'd probably come outside to see what the racket was all about. This was it - this was how he was going to get him.
It turned out, the wood surrounding the bottom of the house was loose. He pried at it with his knife, and it came undone rather easily, leaving a space for him to crawl under. Once inside, he began to slowly scrape and scratch the underside of the house, for sure making an unignorable sound. Now, he just had to wait.
After around five to ten minutes, JJ heard the door swing open. His heart jumped as he saw Banana Kid walk around the side of the house, likely agitated, as JJ could observe from his movements. He watched intently as Banana Kid tried to find where the sound was coming from, and once he was far away enough, JJ carefully came out from underneath the house without a sound.
He heard Banana Kid huff in annoyance, giving up and coming back, but he was interrupted by a force blocking his way. He stumbled back, swallowing his next complaint down once he realized who it was.
"Were you the one doing that?" He groaned, not as fearful as he usually would be due to how tired he was. He took JJ's silence as a yes. "Why? What do you want?"
"You know," He said, beginning to advance on him. "Telling you what I want would only waste time. I'd rather show my intentions with actions, rather than words..."
Banana Kid felt the atmosphere change, and backed away as JJ got closer to him. But he wasn't able to move for long before JJ grabbed him, thrusting him against the side of the house, causing Banana Kid to yelp in alarm.
JJ held his knife to his neck, silently threatening him not to move or shout. Banana Kid obeyed, his eyes wide and fearful. Seeing the look in his eyes enticed him; it gave him the urge to just-
"No. You can't kill him." JJ reminded himself. "He'll be worth nothing if he's just a dead body. Despite how bad I want to do it, I have to be smart."
"Do you see how easily I could kill you?" JJ asked. Too afraid to move his head, Banana Kid couldn't answer, but it was clear enough that he knew. "I could do it, you know. I could slit your throat right now, and you'd bleed out silently and alone, just like you deserve for trying to take Mikey from me. But I need you for something important from you, Banana Kid,"
He leaned closer, toning down to a whisper.
"And that's money. You're worth oven ten thousand dollars, and with that, I could escape from here. I do want to kill you, but you're only worth that much alive. So, I'm sure you know how this is going to go - I'm going to keep you and use you for what I need. If you follow me right now without resisting, then I'll make things easy for you. But if you don't? I'll do things to you that will make you wish you were dead. You'll already be sealed in darkness, so I wouldn't recommend adding torture to that misery."
Banana Kid was quiet, his attention on nothing in particular, although the tears in his eyes told quite well aware of what was going to happen to him. He nodded, agreeing to cooperate.
