(I actually don't know much about how Christianity works, so this is going to be the very basic christian event stuff, because i don't know a lot of the complex stuff or what isn't really big on social media. My grandmother is christian, but she doesn't go to church much and doesn't really talk about it, so i don't get much from there.)Olivia Heart was possibly the straightest, most by the book person you'll find in all of Northshore High, or maybe even the whole town.
Her parents were devout christians, and they were very nice, following the bible strictly, church Sundays, the whole thing.
Despite the many christians that are supporting of LGBTQ+, they, were not.
But because they're from a church where most were like that, nothing was really wrong.
Until kindergarten, when Olivia met her friend Janis Imi'ike.
First strike, she wasn't white. (She thought her parents were weird for suddenly against non-white people, what about the pastor? He was black?)
Second strike, she wasn't christian.
Third strike was when their daughter came home, first day of kindergarten, going on all about this kid in her class and how amazing they were and how she was in love.
And when they asked who he was, it was a girl.
That snapped something in them, and they turned from slightly homophobic, to extremely homophobic.
The skirt had to be below the knees, the tights had to be either white or black -not see through-, she shirt had to be long sleeved, the blouse had to be completely buttoned up, the pants had to be non existent, the shoes had to be clean and proper -preferable black or dark brown-, the hair had to be long and perfect, the make-up had to be minimal but still enough to be seen, the accessories had to be checked and be approved, the cross necklace stayed ON to warrant off any demons walking around (janis), the grades had to be at least above a B+, the posture straight, and not a hair out of place.
Else... well you know, bad fathers with belts usually do some hitting, bad mothers in kitchens often find something sharp.
But their words had to be the sharpest, the food was never allowed to be sweets or junk, the extracurricular had to be track, with a tights under it.
Also, boys had to be non-existent, except for Aaron Samuels, her boyfriend.

Olivia walked through the halls of the school, skirt just below the knee and blouse neatly tucked into it, cardigan hanging around her shoulders, bag by her side.
She walked through the halls, her doc.martens -the only shoes she liked that her parents approved of-, shining under the school's bright lights.
She stopped at her locker, looking to the other side of the hall and to the locker covered in paintings of covered up crude words and other little things, with Damian standing besides it, waiting for his best friend.
He waved at her with a smile, she politely waved back, glancing down the hall to find the missing best friend, who then suddenly appeared in front of her.
