Coraline had never been flustered, in fact, she barely knew what it felt like.

But something- a very recent thing, has made her become this flustered mess.

She wasn't one to get flustered, or have a crush, but somehow she realised that she did have one.

Nothing happened for her to realise, nothing changed, nobody new showed up in her life, she just figured it out one night, deep in her own little cocoon of blankets, with snow falling outside.

Someone had knocked on her window, even though it was like 11 in the evening, and she looked up to see AJ, grinning back at her with snow stuck in her hair.

She gestured for her to hurry up and open the window, so she did, looking down to see her balancing on some stairs.

"You're crazy!" She laughed, helping the brunette into her room, dusting some snow off of her hair once she stood up straight.

She looked over her face, the bright smile on her lips, the blue beanie, the unruly hair, and the rosy cheeks.

It just made sense, like she belonged there, holding both of AJ's hands and looking into her sparkling eyes.

"Oh AJ, you should wear gloves if you're going to play outside." AJ quickly shook her head, trying to pull Coraline back outside through the normal way. -front doors-

"Okay, okay!" She laughed as AJ dragged her to the front door, and shoved her jacket into her arms.

She put on her shoes and before she could put on her jacket, AJ had pulled her outside.

She was able to snatch a scarf before the door closed behind her, and she quickly put on her jacket and scarf before AJ could pull her further.

"You're not skateboarding in this weather!" She quickly stopped AJ, who simply smiled at her and placed her skateboard down.

"C'mon! Let's go to the park! It's so pretty right now!" AJ was so excited, and Coraline couldn't help but share her excitement.

"Sure, let's go." She held out her hand for the girl, who took it, and she put their hands in her pocket, bumping her shoulder with AJ's.

As they walked, Coraline couldn't stop looking over at AJ, admiring the way the snow stuck to her, and how she was just glowing.

When they had finally arrived at the park, AJ pulled her to the pond, looking at the frozen over water for a bit before she fell down and started making snow angels.

Coraline smiled down at her, mesmerised by how stunning she looked in that moment.

She kinda wished she could just kiss her right now.

Wait what.

I don't like AJ, she's my friend.

She sat down next to her brunette friend, who eventually stopped her swinging and playfully hitting Coraline and laid down with her head in the blonde's lap.

She grinned up at her, and Coraline smiled back at her, playing with her hair.

She brushed the pad of her thumb over her cheek, wiping away the water droplets as she stared down at her.

She leaned over her a bit, shielding her from the snow, her hair creating a curtain around them.

"You're really pretty." AJ mumbled, still smiling at her, and Coraline flushed red, looking away.

"You're pretty too." She muttered under her breath, slightly embarrassed by how much that effected her.

They stayed like that for a while, Coraline toying with her hair and softly scratching her scalp, AJ drifting in and out of consciousness.
