tw : mentions of abuse
hi everyone
in case you haven't heard, shubble came out that wilbur abused her. this is absolutely disgusting, and i will no longer be writing books about him. i know the wilbur in my books is completely fictional, but still, i can't write without being disturbed.
i am a survivor of abuse, and i will ALWAYS stand by the victim, especially since very few people stood by me. to be vulnerable here, i was in my senior year of high school, dating one of the soccer players at my school. he was extremely loved by the whole school. despite that, behind closed doors, he had insane anger issues and would take this anger out by slapping, shoving, as well as mentally abusing me. i had to endure this for months because i was terrified to leave, and when i came out about my story, no one believed me and i was harassed for the last few months of the school year before i graduated. this still sticks with me today; every day and every night. it took me awhile to get with my current boyfriend because i was so scared that the same thing would happen to me.
i've been a fan of wilbur since 2019, so this really, really hurts. but i will not be standing by him after learning this information.
if you are not standing by the victim, you should re evaluate yourself.
just because wilbur is nice looking and comforting does not excuse any of the behavior that he has been accused of and admitted to.
i sincerely thank you all for your support on each of my books, and i really hate that it came to this.
in other words, i will continue writing original books! i'm very aware that these will not be anywhere near popular, but i love writing, so i will continue doing it.
