Depression And Redemption

The next morning I didn't get out of bed. The second I opened my eyes tears spilled out. Sun's mad, I feel like I'm losing Moon, I lost Roxy, I lost Gregory, and I lost my mom. I huddled up in my blankets, crying so hard, I couldn't breathe.
Then suddenly there was a knock on the door. I didn't care if it was Sun, or Moon. I didn't even budge. There was more knocking.
"Sunshine?"
It was Sun
I didn't answer.
Eventually I heard him walk away.

2 hours later.

It was 10:34. I could hear footsteps approaching my door.
"Sunshine? Please answer."
I don't answer. I was WAY too depressed to even move.
"Sunshine!"
"Go away Sun." My voice was frailer than I had expected.
"No. Are you ok?"
"No."
There was a long stretch of silence.
"Sunshine let me in."
"No-" I felt another sob coming.
"Sunshine..."
I stayed quiet.
"Y/N. Let me in now."
I held my breath.
"Y/N!"
This time I got up out of fear. I unlocked the door, and he came in, shutting it behind him.
My hair was a mess, and my cheeks were wet from crying.
"Sunshine why do you look scared of me? I'm not gonna hurt you." He pulled me into a gentle hug. "We still need to clean those cutts." He brought me to the bathroom, and cleaned them up. "There." He looked up at me. "You go take a shower, and take care of your hair, and whatever else you have to do. I'll wait out here." He said, before leaving and shutting the bathroom door. I locked it. There were already clean clothes in there, so I undressed and got in the shower, making sure the water was warm.
After I cleaned up, I combed my hair, and got dressed. Then I came out of the bathroom. I still looked depressed.
Sun patted the spot next to him. I sat down, and he started to bandage my cuts.
"Thanks Sun..."
"Of course Sunshine."
"I heard you and Moon yelling last night.."
Sun paused.
"Oh Sunshine.... I'm so sorry.."
Tears started to go down my face.
"Sunshine!" Sun quickly pulled me close.
"I miss my mom Sun. And Gregory has grown distant ever since our hang out, you're stressed, I miss Roxanne as a friend, and Moon......"
Sun rubbed my back. "Why did Gregory grow distant? You had said it went fine."
"He had said he had a crush on me, but I said I didn't feel the same way, cuz well.... I had a crush on you."
"Wait really? He has a crush on you??"
"Yeah, but I only see him as a friend."
"Well why don't you massage him on that watch thing of yours and ask him what's up?"
"I guess I can try that..." I grabbed my watch, asking him if he was mad, or if he just didn't want to talk anymore. He emediatly replied saying everything was good. He was just a bit busy with the other animatronics. But we were still besties♥️.
"See, that wasn't so bad." Sun said.
I replied to Gregory.
"Thanks Sun."
"Of course! Now about your mom...?"
"Yeah... I dunno, I just really miss her."
"You know you could visit her."
I shake my head.
"Call her? Have her come here?"
"My dad wouldn't let her."
"Oh..."
"It's fine Sun. But I think at some point I need to have a chat with Roxanne. If that's ok with you."
"Go ahead, I don't mind. But I think you, me, and Moon need to have a chat tonight."
"Where is he?"
"In his room. He hasn't left since last night."
I nodded.
"Well you can stay here Sunshine. I'm running nap time today."
"Why?"
"Moon isn't feeling to good about being out there. Apparently he heard Vannessa say some things to you, and now he's second guessing himself."
I told Sun what she told me, and he nodded.
"That is true, and still could be. And that's what he's worried about. He's also dealing with yesterday. Are you ok after that by the way?"
I shrug.
"Sunshine?"
"No not really Sun. I still am processing it.. Moon not really being well Moon."
"I understand Sunshine. Well I have to go. The kids are coming."

Hours later

There was a knock on my door.
"Sunshine?"
"Yeah?"
"I just wanted to say goodnight. We are gonna talk tomorrow ok?"
"K. Goodnight."
"Goodnight."

The next morning I got up and left my room. I saw Sun cleaning, and Moon helping. They weren't talking at all. I walked over to them.
Sun said hi, but Moon deliberately walked to the other side, and ignored me.
The whole rest of the day was Moon avoiding me.
"Moon?" I said, trying to get his attention.
He walked away ignoring me.
"Moon! Stop walking away!" I ran after him.
"I don't want to hurt you." He said quietly.
"You're not!"
"I could." Then he walked away again.

That night, Sun gathered us up.
"Ok guys we need to talk." Sun said sternly.
Moon was silent, looking down at the ground. I was fiddling with my hands.
"Come on guys." Sun urged us.
"I'm sorry Y/N. Look, I know that was scary. But after what Sun and Vannessa said, I don't know if I should be around you. I could put you in danger. And I don't want that." Moon said, looking straight into my eyes.
"Moon that's not the right solution." I said.
"Yes it is."
"No. It's not."
"Yes it is!" He snapped.
I jumped.
"See??" He said, gesturing to what just happened.
"Moon please, let's not go down this path."
"Well It's the right path."
"So that's it? You're just gonna push me away? Like this didn't matter. Like we didn't matter?"
"Mmm." Was all he said before he went completely silent.
"Fine." I said, getting up.
"Sunshine wait!" Sun called after me.
"If he wants to push me away, so be it." I started going down the stairs, but stopped to hear what they were saying.
"Moon you're not a bad person."
"You're right. I'm not a bad person. I'm a bad animatronic."
"You can't just push her away like that!"
"It's better that way."
"Doesn't she even mean anything to you?"
"Yes. That's why I'm doing this."
"It's not right Moon. It never ends well."
"Better then her getting hurt."
With that, I finished walking the rest of the way down.

Sun forced me and Moon to stay in the tower while he took care of the kids. Moon ignored me, so I ignored him. The tension was beginning to be too much for me. Tears started to run down my cheeks. Moon heard, and looked at me. I hugged my knees to my chest.
"You ok Starlight?" He asked.
"What do you fucking think?! And why the hell do you care anyways?!! Just fuck off!" I snapped.
"Tch, fine." He started walking to the other end of the room.
I started to feel bad. "Moon I'm sorry..."
"You're right though... I've been being a jerk."
He walked back over.
"I miss you Moon. The actual you."
"This is the actual me. Angry, mean." He looked away.
"I get it, but it's not ok when you just push me away. And I do forgive you. That wasn't your fault. You weren't even in control."
He sat down next to me.
"Look, just stop pushing me away. I don't want to lose you."
At that, he put his head on my shoulder and held my hand.
"I missed you a lot though." I squeezed his hand.
"I... I'm sorry."
"I accept it."
He hugged me tight.
"I wish we could actually cry..."
"Oh Moon." I held him tightly, rocking him back a fourth. Behind his tough behavior, he really could be as gentle as Sun. And he had so much pain in him.
"I don't deserve you." He clung onto me.
"You deserve me as much as anything."
"I don't deserve anything."
"Everyone deserves to have things, and to be loved. Even murderers, and bad people."
I could hear him crying, but I knew he couldn't produce tears.
"You really bring out a different side of me." He says, wiping invisible tears away.
"Well I'm glad you let me see this side of you. It makes me feel special."
"Well it should, cuz no one else would be caught dead seeing me like this."
"So about what Vannessa said..."
He looked away. "What she said was true. But that's just how I am. I feel bad sometimes, but... I dunno."
"I get it. And don't worry about any of it. I'm hear for you."
He hugged me again.
Suddenly Sun popped up in front of us.
"Yay!! You forgave each other!" Sun said excitedly.
"Is it nap time already?" I asked.
"Mmhm!" Sun said.
Moon got up and left to put the kids to bed.
"How'd it go?" Sun asked.
"Good." I said smiling.
Sun sat down next to me, and we talked quietly for the rest of nap time.
