The second we got home, I ran up to my room to avoid my dad.

1 Hour Later

I decided I was hungry, and I could use some water, so I went downstairs, but the second I got there, my dad started yelling at me. Here we go I thought. He grabbed my arm, and twisted it. Then he started hitting the same arm. Great, just to add to my other bruises. It hurt, but I was used to it by now. Then, he went too far. He grabbed a vase and threw it at me. All of the shards of glass missed me, except for one that gave me a small cut on my four head.
Suddenly, my survival instincts kicked in, and I ran out the door. My brain took control, and I had no idea where I was going, until finally the Pizza Plex came into view.
I ran through the door, and then ran around corners and stuff until I reached the doors to the daycare.
I ran to the center of the room, and then I stopped to catch my breath.
"Sunshine?"
I looked up to see Sun, confused on why I was there, and concerned because I was so out of breath.
"Why are you here? Are you alright?" He asked. He walked over to me, and before I could answer, he put his hand on my hurt arm, and I winced.
"Sunshine, does your arm hurt?" He asked, starting to pull my sleeve up.
"No Sun, don't!" I protested, but it was too late. He finished pulling my sleeve up, and then he gasped seeing all the bad bruising.
Then he noticed my bleeding cut on my four head, and he backed up with his hands over him mouth.
"S-Sunshine!" Sun said, "p-please tell me what happened."
I sighed, and looked down. I forced tears back, in order to not worry him more.
"My dad happened..." I said quietly.
"You're telling me your dad did this?!" Sun exclaimed.
I nodded, still looking down.
"But why?" Sun asked more quietly.
"Because his mental. He abuses me a lot. Remember when I was sad that day? That was because my mom and him were arguing because of what he does." I explained.
"Oh Sunshine, I'm so sorry." Sun said, pulling me into a gentle hug.
I allowed a few tears to escape, as I hugged him back.
"I'm not going back there Sun. I'm never going back there again." I said.
"But Sunshine, that's your home! You have to go back eventually!" Sun insisted.
"You can't make me go back. No one can. In fact, I'm gonna call my mom and tell her." I said.
"*Sigh* ok Sunshine." Sun reluctantly said.
I called my mom, and explained to her that I wasn't going back. There was a lot of arguing, but eventually she agreed to let me live at the Pizza Plex.
After the phone call, I looked up at Sun.
"So I guess I'm living here now." I said.
Sun nodded.
"Can I talk to Moon?" I asked.
"MOON?! Really??" Sun exclaimed.
I nodded. "Please?"
"*Sigh* sure Sunshine." Sun agreed.
"Thank you." I said before turning the lights off.
Sun screamed in pain, and then Moon appeared.
The second I saw him, I burst into tears.
Moon stared at me in shock.
"What happened?" He asked.

I told him everything in between tears.

"Oh Starlight..." Moon said, hugging me.
I hugged back, still crying, but less now.
After a few minutes, he pulled away.
I looked at him. "Thanks Moon." I said.
He nodded.
Then I yawned.
Moon made me sit down, and put my head on his shoulder again.
"Moon, are you sure we can't be friends?" I asked in a sleepy voice.
"......Go to sleep Starlight. It's late." Came his answer.
I was going to protest, but suddenly I felt to tired, and I went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up, and the second I opened my eyes, I heard a frantic Sun.
"SUNSHINE, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WEREN'T GOING TO TURN THE LIGHTS BACK ON?! I THOUGHT HE DID SOMETHING TO YOU!! YOU DIDN'T EVEN SAY GOOD NIGHT! YOU SCARED ME!!!!"
"Sun, Sun calm down-" I started.
"CALM DOWN?!" Sun yelled. oh boy. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN?!?! I THOUGHT HE KILLED YOU!!" Sun continued.
"Sun I'm sorry! Just listen to me ok??" I pleaded.
"Ok fine, but there better be a pretty good reason." He said, sitting down in front of me with his arms crossed.
"Ok look, I talked to Moon and he comforted me, and then I got tired, and I thought about saying goodnight to you, but then I'd have to turn the lights out again, and you would have to go through being in pain again. But it didn't matter anyway, because Moon forced me to sit down, put my head on his shoulder and eventually go to sleep." I explained.
Sun was silent for a moment, which concerned me, but then he spoke.
"That was very considerate of you Sunshine.... But Moon comforted you!?"
I nodded.
"Then he must care about you. A lot. Of course he would never admit to it though." Sun declared.
"I don't know if he really cares about me.., but who really knows?" I said.
Sun nodded thoughtfully.
"Well, it's the weekend now, so let's have some fun! I said.

You and Sun hung out for the rest of the day, playing games, talking, hanging out, and bonding. Who knew such a bad time could turn into something amazing?
(I did).
