Roxanne Chat, And Hanging Out With Sun

A few days later I went to Roxanne's room, and knocked on the door. She opened the door and looked down at me.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"I just want to make things right between us." I said.
"Yeah... Look I am sorry about that..."
"I forgive you."
"Thanks."
"Friends again?"
"Friends again."
We hugged, and then I waved goodbye.

"How'd it go?" Sun asked when I got back.
"Better than I expected." I said happily.
"That's good. Hey, Moon said we should have the day together!"
"Really?"
"Yeah! So what should we do?"
"Well we could talk, build pillow forts, have fun?"
"Sounds great Sunshine!"
Me and Sun built a pillow fort, and then went inside. Sun high-fived me.
"We did great Sun!" I said.
"We did!" "Hey Sunshine, there's a question I've been holding in for a while. It feels like every time you need to cry or something you always go to Moon. And I know you've told me something about this before, but I just want to know, do you not feel comfortable enough talking to me? I just want to know."
"Oh yeah, of course Sun. Part of it is just that I feel really comfortable talking to Moon about hard things like family drama, or, back then, dealing with you having a crush on Roxanne. And it's not that I don't like to express that stuff to you, but it's just that sometimes I think Moon understands a little more." I was hoping Sun didn't take it too personal, or think I was being mean.
"Thank you for being honest Sunshine. Maybe we can work on that? But if you feel like talking to Moon helps, then go ahead. Just don't leave me out."
"That sounds good."
"Also, I've been thinking I want to know more about you, and what happened to you when you were with your family. Only if you want to talk about it though."
"Sure. So basically it started when I was around 10. My dad started drinking, and hitting me. He would yell at me and my mom, and abuse me mainly.... And..." Tears welled up in my eyes.

Moon's POV

I was walking past Starlight's room when I heard Sun ask her about her past. I stopped to listen, and heard everything.

You're POV

Sun hugged me. "It's ok... It's ok, you're hear now."
"It's just that Moon can remind me of him sometimes. Like when he yelles."

Moon's POV

I slowly walked away. There was a nagging pain in my chest.

You're POV

After a while of more talking we decided to come out of my room, and ask Moon if he wanted to go to Kids Cove. We looked around for him everywhere, but we could find him. I was starting to get worried.
"Moon! Where are you!" I called.
Just then we heard something moving under one of the play structures. I walked over and saw Moon coming out. "There you are. Why were you under there?"
"No reason." He said.
He sounded like he was upset, but I decided to ignore it. "We were wondering if you wanted to come to Kids Cove with us."
"Sure." He started walking towards the door, and me and Sun followed.
"Is he ok?" Sun asked.
"I dunno."

We entered Kids Cove, and Sun went out to get me food. I was very grateful that he did that kind of stuff for me.
Meanwhile, Moon was dead silent.
"Moon are you ok? You're acting off."
"I'm fine."
"Are you sure? You don't act it."
"I said I'm fine!"
I backed up a bit.
"Ok, ok, I'm sorry. Geez." I walked over to the couch by the fake fire.
"Wait. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell."
"It's ok Moon." I smiled and patted the spot next to me, and he sat down.
"It's just.... I heard everything you said to Sun. About your dad and... Me."
My eyes widened.
"Do I really remind you of him?" He sounded so sad, and it broke my heart.
"Sometimes when you yell, it brings back memories... but-"
"I just feel like I'm never enough..."
"You are enough Moon. I love you. I really love you so much. I didn't mean I hated you or you were just like him. I just... I dunno.. I'm sorry you had to hear that. I didn't mean it like... Like that."
"...."
"I really do love you just the way you are."
"Thanks... I just don't want to hurt you."
"I know Moon. I know. Don't worry ok?"
"Whatever you say." He looked at me and "smirked".
Right at that moment Sun came back, and we all talked and joked around.
It felt like everything was safe and complete.
