Finally I got to Parts and Service. I set Moon down on the bed inside of the repair room. Just as I did, Sun walked in with Freddy.
Sun had already told him what happened, and Freddy started fixing the wires.
"Some of his sockets are fried but those will be easy to fix. I'll get on that now."
Me and Sun stood back as Freddy started repairing stuff.
About 38 minutes later he finished.
"I'm gonna try to turn him back on." Freddy said as he pushed a button. Moon jerked up, and then back down again. He tried to talk, but it was obvious he wasn't really there. Freddy turned him off again and looked at us.
My face was twisted with horror and concern.
"I think we have to Reboot him." Freddy said.
"Reboot?" I asked nervously.
"All it does is refresh the operating system, and resolves various soft or hardware issues."
I nodded.
Freddy hooked a wire to Moon's head, and then went over to the computer. He pressed a few buttons, and then the reboot started. Things were going smoothly for a few minutes, when suddenly error flashed on the computer screen in bright red letters.
"What's happening?" I asked, walking over. Sun was close behind.
"I don't know." Freddy said.
Warning flashed on the screen a few times, and then Moon jolted and the computer turned off. It turned back on with lines of code, and small white words.
"What's that? Freddy what's going on?" I asked.
Freddy looked at me with concern plastered all over his face.
"He's been reset." He said.
"WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN RESET?!?!" The memory of what Moon told me came flooding back: 'I mean reset my code. I would forget everything. I would be starting from scratch.'
This has to be a joke.
"F-Freddy? A-are you sure you mean reset?" Sun asked in a timid voice.
He nodded.
"I can try to turn him back on. If you want."
I nodded.
Freddy walked back over to Moon, and turned him back on.
He turned back on without a problem but...
"Where.... Who..." Was all he could say at first. He looked at us in confusion.
And then it all went downhill...
