The next morning I woke up with Sun cuddled up next to me. His arms were wrapped around me, and his head was buried in my chest. I was starting to blush, and then I gently stroked his back. He gradually started to wake up.
"Good morning Sunshine." He said, while stretching a bit.
"Good morning Sun." I said, wrapping my arms around him again.
He hugged back, and we lied like that for a while.
"You're so cute Sun." I said.
I felt him cuddle up closer to hide his embarrassment.
"We should get up." I said.
He nodded, and then we got out of bed. He went to get me some food and water, while I went to wake Moon up.
I opened the door, and was hit by pitch darkness. I walked in and saw Moon on his bed. He was so vulnerable. I slowly walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder. He turned to me.
"Morning Moon." I said.
"Morning Starlight."
He got out of bed, and then I took his hand. He brought me down from the balcony, and then I went into my room thingy to get ready for the day.
Small time skip
Sun came back with the food.
"It's really stormy out." He said. "It's windy and rainy out, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost power." He said handing me the food.
As I was finishing my food, we could hear the rain get harder, and the wind blowing. Usually you can't hear stuff like that in the Pizza Plex, because of obvious reasons, but it was a HUGE storm.
"I want to go outside." I said, getting up. I was obviously just teasing them.
"Oh no you don't." Moon said grabbing my hand.
"Yeah Sunshine, I don't think that's a very good idea." Sun said.
"I'm just kidding. Let's go up to the balcony." I said.
Moon picked me up, and carried me up to the balcony. Sun followed.
As we got up there the lights started to flicker.
Sun decided to make a pillow fort.
Just as we were about to finish, the lights flickered again, and then went out.
Sun cried out in shock, and I grabbed Moon out of instinct.
"W-where are you guys?" Sun asked in a scared voice.
"Right here." I said reaching out to find him.
Once I found his hand, I pulled him closer, into a hug.
He hugged me tightly. "I don't like the dark." He said.
"I know...." I started to rub his back, slowly relaxing him.
The wind got louder.
Suddenly Moon started to walk away.
"Moon where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm gonna get a few flashlights." He said.
"I'll come with you!" I said.
"No don't leave!" Sun said trembling.
"It's fine I'll be back in a bit." Moon said jumping down the balcony.
"You gonna be ok Sun?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Let's go in the pillow fort." I said, taking his hand.
"But it's not done."
"It's only missing a blanket for a door. I can go get one."
"O-k-k. I'll come with." He clung onto my arm as we walked slowly to his room.
I quickly grabbed a blanket, and then took his hand as we slowly walked back.
He helped me put the blanket up, and then the pillow fort was done.
"You can see in the dark can't you? I mean you are an animatronic." I asked.
"Only a little. I wasn't really designed to. But I can see better then a human can." He said.
I nodded.
"Moon still hasn't come back." I said, "you go in the pillow fort. I'm gonna go find him."
"O-ok... But hurry ok?"
"I'll try."
Sun went into the pillow fort, and I took the stairs down to the bottom of the tower.
I squinted my eyes to see better, and I could just barely see Moon crouching in a corner, his hands on his head. I walked over to him.
"Moon?" I said quietly.
"Go back up to the tower I'll be there in a bit." He said in a strained voice.
"Moon are you ok?"
Suddenly he didn't seem like himself. He reached out and tried to grab me, and then he threw himself down to stop.
"Just go." He pointed to a few flashlights, and I grabbed them, flicking one on.
Moon looked like he was in severe pain.
"Moon please tell me what's happening." I said.
"I don't know. I don't know what's wrong."
I took his hands. They were trembling.
"Just go. I don't want to accidently hurt you."
"Hurt me?"
He looked up at me pleadingly.
"I'm not just gonna leave." I put my hands on his shoulders. "Is there anything I can do to help you?"
"Do you know how to restart me?" He asked.
"N-no! I don't know anything about that stuff." I was starting to worry.
He pointed to a white wire, and a small button on the back of his head.
"Pull this wire out, and then press this button. Wait a few moments, and then press the button again, and plug the wire back in. But you have to do exactly that, or you could accidentally reset me. And don't touch anything else."
"What do you mean reset?" I was starting to panic.
"I mean reset my code. I would forget everything. I would be starting from scratch."
"So-..."
"Yes."
I gulped.
"If you don't think you can do it it's fine. This weird thing that's happening will go away. I just don't know how long it will take."
"I-I think I can do it."
His hand was still on the wire and button.
I put my hands on them, and he moved his hand away.
"Do you remember the order?"
I nodded. "Wire button, wait a few moments, button wire."
He nodded. "Ok. I'm ready."
My hands were trembling as I pulled the white wire out, and pressed the button. I could tell Moon had shut down. I counted to ten, and then pressed the button and plugged the wire back in. Then I moved my trembling hands away.
He didn't turn back on yet.
Shit. What if I did something wrong?!
Just as I was beginning to have a panic attack, he turned back on.
"M-Moon? Are you ok?" I asked panicked.
"Who are you?" He asked genuinely confused.
I saw my life flash before my eyes.
"Moon?"
"Where am I?"
I stared at him, desperately trying to figure out what I did wrong. A tear rolled down my cheek before I could stop it.
"Hey, hey I'm just kidding! I'm fine!" He grabbed me, pulling me into a huge.
"That's not ok Moon!!!!" I yelled at him a little more aggressively then I expected, and I felt him tense up, and his eyes were full of guilt.
"Sorry, I was just trying to mess with you-" he gently whipped the tear off my face.
He looked down ashamed.
"Don't do it again." I said crossing my arms.
He hugged me again.
"Ok. Let's go back now." He said.
I grabbed the flashlights, and he carried me back up to the balcony.
Sun flooded out of the fort, and ran to us.
"You said you would hurry!" He said, hugging me.
"Sorry Sun! Moon was having a bit of a problem, and I had to restart him."
"What?!" He looked at us confused.
"I'm fine now." Moon said.
Suddenly an alarm started blaring, and red lights were flashing everywhere.
'Warning, Warning, Warning, tornado threat, Warning, Warning.' The alarm voice said.
"What the bloody hell is that!?" I screamed over the loud noise. I was pressing my hands furiously against my ears.
"It's a tornado warning!" Sun said, panicking.
Then another alarm went off, signaling flood warnings.
Sun grabbed sound proof headphones out of a closet, and put them on my head to muffle the sound.
"Thanks!" I yelled, barely able to hear myself.
He nodded.
More alarms went off.
I was starting to get worried.
We went into the pillow fort, and I huddled up between them.
"Don't worry." Moon said close enough to my ear so I could hear him. "I doubt anything will actually happen." He held me close, while Sun held my hand.
Even with the headphones, the noise was starting to be too much.
Moon was trying his best to keep me calm, but it wasn't working. Sun quickly took me in his arms, since he was a little better at it. He rocked me back and forth, and put his head on top of mine, while he needed my back sorta like a cat would. I slowly started to relax, and then the noise started to fade as I started to drift off as all I heard was Sun humming a song.
When I opened my eyes, I was exactly where I had beed when I fell asleep: on Sun's lap.
The alarms had stopped, and I took my headphones off.
"Hey there Sunshine. Are you doing ok?" Sun asked, brushing some of my hair out of my face, and then cupped my cheek, gazing into my eyes.
I felt a massive amount of butterflies as he did so.
"Y-yeah. Thanks for calming me down." I said smiling.
He hugged me again, and then I looked over at Moon.
He was lying on the ground.
"He's in rest mode. Down worry." Sun said.
I nodded.
"Do you guys ever get jealous when I spend time with the other?" I asked.
"Sometimes, but only a little." Sun said, "with a soft smile".
"I just don't want one of you to feel left out or something."
"Of course not Sunshine, we know you love us equally."
"Well not completely equally."
"Oh?"
I leaned closer to whisper to him, "I love you a little more."
Sun got extremely flustered, and he started to fidget with his hands. "Y-you're just saying that..." He said.
"No I'm not! I mean it! I do favor you more, even though I do gravitate tourds Moon more sometimes. It's manly because he is really good at helping with my emotions. Not that you're not, but-"
"No I get that Sunshine, don't worry." He said taking my hands.
We were gazing deep into each other's eyes, when suddenly Moon woke up and was staring at us.
We looked away from each other embarrassed.
"Now who are the cute love birds?" Moon teased.
Sun got even more embarrassed, and I started to blush a whole bunch.
Time Skip
We had been hanging out for a while, but Moon kept on randomly glitching.
"Moon? What's wrong??" Sun asked worried.
"Naughty...." He growled. His voice had turned extremely gravelly, and rough.
Sun backed away.
Moon put his hands to his head, and started growling.
"It's past your bed time...." He said, pain in his voice. Suddenly his head snapped up, as if he just woke up.
"Moon?" I asked, nervously.
He stumbled, and was about to fall, before I grabbed him.
Then his eyes seemed to glow an even brighter red....
Bad children must be punished...👋
