chapter 5

Fatima and I turned on the television to watch a movie

Sky sat on my laps, while I rubbed her head
At least she knows whose cat she is

"Which movie should we watch" Fatima asked, turning to me after logging in to our Netflix

"I don't know, let's scroll through it first" I say to her because I really don't know any movie we could watch
I'm busy with work most of the time so the only time I have to watch movies is on the weekends

"Sure" she replies to me nodding

We scroll through the list of movies and one caught my eyes

" What about that one?" I asked pointing at the screen to show her the one I was talking about

She clicks on it and said

" oh, Suicide squad, I've seen the trailer but I didn't get to watch it"

" Let's watch that then, I'll go get some snacks" I say to her getting up and making my way to the kitchen

" Okie dokie" she chirped

I went to the kitchen to bring us some snacks when I saw Nana, she used to be my nanny when I was younger now she just helps around the house
She has a son and he lives abroad and visits her only once a year

"As salam alaikum Nana" I said to her, Nana isn't her name that's just what Abdullah and I call her

"Wa alaikumus salam my child, how are you" she asks me beaming

"I'm fine Nana, what about you, how's your health " I replied and asked her back, smiling

"I'm hale and hearty, thank you for asking dear" she replies to me with a kind smile

"Alright Nana, I just want to get some snacks and drinks, Fatima and I are watching a movie " I tell her, a smile still on my face

"Okay dear, let me help you " she offers but I reject her offer

" I can do it myself Nana" I say to her in a whiney tone and she chuckled

I took the snacks and drinks and made my way to the living room after bidding Nana goodnight

I set the snacks down on the table and settled down beside Fatima, Sky was sleeping on the rug next to our feet

" Shall we?" Fatima asked with a smile, indicating we start the movie

"We shall" I said and we both chuckled

We finished the movie and it was a good one

We laughed at some scenes and we felt the sad vibes in some scenes, all in all it's a good movie

" The movie was nice" Abdul says, he and Iqraam joined us at some point

" Yup" I say popping the p

" Yeah" Fatima drawls as she's sleepy
She's sleeping over, and we're sharing my room

" C'mon let's go to bed" I say to her standing up

She stretches her hand out for me to pull her up
I held her hand pulling her up and she leans on me

" Sleepy head" I mumbled under my breath

" I heard you" Fatima said to me

" You did?" I asked in an amused tone

" Yes " she replied in a sleepy voice and I knew it was time to get her to bed

"Good night and As salam alaikum people" I say out loud

" Wa alaikumus salam "
They all replied

" Iqraam's also sleeping over" Abdullah says gaining my and sleepy head Fatima's attention

"Oh okay" I say nodding, he must've told mum and dad about it and was just informing me

I made my way upstairs with Fatima on toll, we entered my room and I closed the door but didn't lock it

I went to my closet to pick a pair of pajamas, one for me, one for Fatima
My clothes sizes her as we have the same build but she's half a inch taller than I am

" Here, you can use the bathroom first" I say to her handing her the pajama knowing she'll want to use the shower

" Thanks Habibty" she says to me smiling

" Why are you thanking me" I asked confused, she wears some of my clothes whenever she comes over

" Dummy, for letting me use the bathroom first, you bathroom hugger" she said sleepily and I burst out laughing

" You never forget that incident do you?" I asked still laughing
It was one time when we were younger, we got dirt on our clothes and body and wanted to get showered and I used the bathroom first telling her to wait, we could have used it together but I was super shy to allow her see my body, the only person I allow to see my body was my mum then, and ever since she's been calling me a bathroom hugger

"Naa" she drawled answering my question

" Okay okay, just go and shower" I said raising my hands up in defeat

Soon she was done and I went in to shower and got changed

I came out of the bathroom and saw Fatima already in bed sleeping soundly

I adjusted the temperature of the air conditioner and got in to the covers

After saying my Dua, I turned off the lights and sleep came as soon as my head touched the pillow
