Iqraam's POV
I watched as the maids wheeled my luggage out of the house and into the car in a sequenced manner
I had a flight to catch.
Initially, I wasn't supposed to travel with Abdullah at all for Ismail's wedding but something kept piquing my interest and I couldn't control the urge to see her again
Malika....
He name was so beautiful and unique just like she was
It was a crazy thing to think about, especially since she was my best friend's sister but....
I don't know why myself and I had nothing to say if I was asked why I thought of my friend's sister like that
I pushed all thoughts aside and got into the car, I was soon on the road to the airport
_______
Abdullah soon arrived with his sister and her best friend and we greeted each other
Malika didn't even spare me as a glance since she walked in and it felt as though she was avoiding me
She happened to pick a seat next to mine while Abdullah and Fatima sat opposite us
The jet soon took off and we were up in the sky
I focused on working on my laptop for the meantime, I still had a lot of work to cover and I couldn't leave it in the city while I traveled to have fun
Abdullah said something about sleeping and soon disappeared through the curtains that divided this part of the jet from the bedrooms
"I also want to sleep" Fatima said
"There's another room at the back" Malika replied to her pointing in the direction, Abdullah just went and soon we were the only ones left
I continued working and she continued reading her book in silence
At some point she stood up and went to the couch to sit down with her book in hand, still in silence
I got finished with my work and decided to get us some coffee
I called on the attendant and asked for two cups of coffee all the while Malika pretended not to hear but I saw the way her lips twitched when I asked for two plain black coffees
I stood up and walked over to her and got seated beside her
She didn't look up neither did she say a word
I stared at her for a while and slowly chuckled
"The book's upside down" I pointed out and her cheeks burned embarrassed
She dropped the book on her lap with a pout and looked at me begrudgingly
"I'm sorry, but you were having a hard time reading" I said and raised my hands up in mock defeat
"Weren't you working?" Malika asked and I nodded
"I was but I'm done now" I said and she nodded
"What book are you reading?" I asked curiously, looking the book in her lap
"Just some novel" she replied and blushed again
She looked really cute with all her expressions
"About the coffee" she muttered
"Hm" I urged her to go on
"It's bad for you to take coffee on a flight, what if you feel jet lagged?" She asked
"You're right, it bad, I'll cancel the order" I said agreeing with her and she smiled
She picked up her book to continue reading properly this time and I watched her on the side silently
