I picked up my phone and unlocked it
I opened the message app and open Malika's chat on it and began typing
(Iqraam) ' As Salam alaikum' I sent first to see if she was online
(Malika) 'wa alaikumus salam ' she replied and a smile appeared on my face
(Iqraam) 'How are you? How was your day?'
I asked(Malika) " Alhamdulilah, my day was boring"
(Iqraam)' okay, tell me about your day" I typed and sent
I was really lovestruck, I even want to know how boring her day was
( Malika)' No, you tell me about your day'
(Iqraam) ' I want to know about yours first"
(Malika) :Tell me about yours first, was it fun?'
(Iqraam) ' It was all about business'
I replied and then I realized she tricked me into talking about my day first, my smile grew wider
(Malika) ' Don't talk about business, Abdullah already gave me an earful '
(Iqraam) '😂😂'
' don't you want to know about my day?'(Malika) ' 🤐🤐'
(Iqraam) ' how did your day go?'
( Malika) .…..
We continued chatting till it was time for Isha prayer and I continued working afterwards
******
Malika's POVI smiled to myself like a fool once again
I just finished chatting with Iqraam and I was acting like a highschooler in love
I was currently laying in bed doing nothing but staring at my chat with Iqraam
Fatima already left for home at noon
" Miss Malika, time for dinner" one of our maids knocked on my room door and called out
" Coming " I replied and rolled off my bed, standing up
I made my way downstairs to the dining hall
"As Salam alaikum " I said walking in and everyone replied with wa alaikumus Salam
I sat next to my mum and she asked how my health was
I smiled telling her I was feeling better
We were having rice, vegetables and beef for dinner today
I dug in with relish, eating till I was very full
We made small talks at the table and dinner was pleasant
I went back to my room afterwards and freshened up, wearing my PJs and slept off
********
My phone chimed indicating a notification
I picked it up, it was a message from Akeem
He sent the address where we would meet, Fatima was busy so she couldn't come along
It was a coffee shop
I was currently in my office
Work got busier after the fashion week, the demand for our products increased by leaps and boundsI got you from my seat and took my bag, making my way out of my office to the parking lot
I got in my Mercedes and using the map on my phone, drove off to the coffee shop
