I raised my head up from the pile of file infront of me, checking the time

It was time to go home

We were having a family dinner tonight

Abdullah and Amaya got married and had their wedding reception after me and Iqraam came back and Fatima and Amir are currently out of the country, they went to London to visit the Ibrahims

I walked out of my office and saw Reya packing up

"I'm going Reya" I said

" Alright miss Malika" Reya said

"I'll wait for you let's go downstairs together" I said and Reya nodded

She was done packing up soon and we made our way to downstairs to the reception

I had parked my car outside today, not in the underground parking lot and I guess Reya did the same

As we walked the scent of roasted fish blew over
It was one of my favorite street food but instead of it smelling good it was nauseating

I convered my nose with my hand but the feeling of vomiting only grew

I ran to a trash can by the road side quickly

I retched but nothing came out, maybe there was nothing in my stomach

I heard Reya's urgent footsteps and a hand was placed on my back

"Are you okay?"Reya asked rubbing my back

"I'm fine"
As soon as those words came out of my mouth I retched again

Reya continued to pat my back and I was fine after a while

Reya passed me a bottle of water I have no idea where she got it from

"Thanks" I said opening the bottle and chugging down the water

"You don't seem to have a fever and you're not sick" Rey's said and asked as if in thoughts

"Could you be pregnant?" Reya asked in realization

"What?" I asked without even processing what she said

"You should get a test done"Reya said

"You're thinking too much Reya, I'm fine now" I said

"But" Reyna started

"But nothing, I'm okay" I said interrupting her

"Let's go home, it's getting late" I said looking around and Reya nodded

We walked to our respective cars and drove off after saying goodbye

I thought about what Reya said while I was driving

I had mixed feelings about getting pregnant or having kids

I was excited but also worried

I decided to do a test

I stopped by a pharmacy on the way to my parents house and got a pregnancy test kit before driving to my parents

The urge to puke woke me up and I ran to the bathroom to pour out last night's dinner

I felt a hand on my back, patting it

"Habibty are you okay"Iqraam asked and I nodded

I washed my mouth and face and turned around to face Iqraam

"Are you sure you're okay, should we go to the hospital" Iqraam asked worry written all over his face

"I'm fine, I will be after resting" I said with a reassuring smile
