I threw myself in my bed, I was so tired
We got home not long ago
My mom, mother-in-law and Fatima's mom picked nightgowns and lingeries for me even though I was very very reluctant for them to do so
They took my measurements and bought whatever they wanted and I just sat looking at themFatima sat on the side laughing at my misery
Insha' Allah her turn would come soonIt was almost time for Maghrib prayer
I stood up from my bed and made my way to the bathroom to perform Wudhu and made my way to the prayer room afterwards
I got to the prayer room and performed Nafl before taking a Qur'an and opening it
I opened to Suratul Yaseen and started reciting
_____
I recited to a point before everyone else came in for prayer
Iqraam led the prayer and Masha'Allah his recitation was beautiful, he has improved so much from the last time I heard him recite
He was so dedicated to the Deen and I was happy for that
I continued reciting and finished when it was time for dinner
We had dinner together as a big family, my dad, father in-law and Fatima's dad were all back from work
After dinner we prayed Isha and Iqraam and his parents, Fatima and her parents went home
I retired to my room for the day
I laid down on my bed and my phone rang immediately I did so
I picked it up, it was Iqraam calling
I smiled looking at the contact nameI had changed it to '♥️ Iqraam ♥️' yesterday night before going to bed
I picked up the call
" As Salam alaikum" I said
" Wa alaikumus Salam" Iqraam replied
" Is it really a tradition not to see the bride until the nikkah day" Iqraam asked
" Why do you ask?" I asked back, I didn't know much about traditions but I knew this one thing
" My mom said as the groom, I can't see the bride from now till after the Nikkah " Iqraam said
" Yes she's right and you should listen to her" I said and rolled over
"I don't want to " Iqraam said in a whiny tone and I chuckled
" Just do as she says" I said and we chatted for a while more before saying goodnight
I got up from my bed and performed Wudhu
I prayed Nafl and istikhara, seeking guidance from Allah
I made Dua and soon fell asleep
*****
" Wakey wakey habibty" I heard a voice say and opened my eyes
I was met with a pair of blue eyes looking at me with affection
I looked around, I was in a different and unfamiliar room
" Did you sleep well?" The owner of those pretty blue eyes asked
" Hm" I hummed in assent and pulled him closer to hug him
" I love you" I said and released him from my hug
" I love you more" he said and leaned in
I closed my eyes, expecting what was to come
" Wakey wakey sleepyhead" I heard someone say and my eyes shot open
