The air felt different tonight, it felt like everyone and everything around her was in high spirits. As she hopped out of her car and into the blossoming driveway, she smiled.

There was so much that was left unsaid but so much said at the same time based on the album. The few conversations and interactions between them had to serve as a buffer for the truth, but it was still something.

She couldn't have been more excited to see him. As soon as her car started rolling in the driveway Morgan had opened the front door and stood outside waiting. When she parked, she scrambled out of the car leaving her keys and bag in the car and running into his arms.

A warm embrace was something they both hadn't felt in a long time and needed. The droplets of sweat from her nervousness glistened in the porch light rather than messing up her appearance. There was a newfound twinkle in her eye that Morgan hadn't seen in a long time. Laney was herself again and so was he.

But for Morgan, he was a changed man... or at least working on it. Taking up sobriety was a little difficult, it was hard to just limit himself to one drink or to not drink at all. But for her, he was willing to give it a shot.

Lamey pulled away and smiled, "It's dark out, I'm excited to try out the telescope".

Morgan smiled at her words as she moved past him to open the front door and step into the house she once almost called her home. And as much as she may have missed that feeling, she knew it was for the best.

Kicking off her shoes, she began going right towards the backyard. There wasn't much light pollution since there weren't many houses around where Morgan built the house. He wanted it to feel like his own safe sanctuary and it felt just like that.

She immediately looked up at the sky and saw the stars twinkling. And looking at the telescope with the star book next to it made her heart skip a beat and beat faster.

"I'm glad you came back," he said standing behind her as she stared into the sky.

She turned to him, "Me too".

She was afraid of kissing him. She wanted to but she was nervous. She quickly turned around and started to use the telescope. The neon stars he sang about were brighter than before and clearer. The moon crevices and craters were so vibrant, that she was left kind of wonder-struck.

But she knew she couldn't avoid what was coming as she stepped away and turned to face him, and he had never taken his eyes off her. He wasn't able to see her for far too long and he wasn't going to make the mistake of letting her out of his sight.

"Shall we talk?" Laney asked.
