In Love With The Enemy

Chapter 47- For better or for worse

Very well done. A voice whispered through her head to her and Fire fell into a brief unconsciousness.

Fire sat up in her jail cell. She felt something burning up inside of her and she inhaled a breath of air. "Finally. I didn't expect that to actually work, considering how weak I was" She looked at the cuffs that covered her hands and ignited a fire in each one of her palms. The metal started to melt away and soon enough she was able to freely move her wrists. "That's a lot better."

Ender Kitty came bounding up to the door of the cell and dropped something between the bars.

Extinguishing her hand-held flames, Fire picked up the shiny object to see it was a pair of keys. "Good kitty. I was just going to blow my way out of here, but the keys work as well" she shrugged her shoulders and unlocked the cell in an awkward way from inside.

She slid open the door and took a few steps out of it. "Freedom!" She exclaimed and stretched out her arms. Her eyes widened and she jumped backwards a slight bit. Her hoodie had changed colors, well at least the sleeves had. I need to go to a mirror, to check this out Fire thought as she took off running to where she knew the steps to the inside of the castle were.

As she came to the top of the stairs, she almost immediately ran into a mirror at a dead end of the castle just after you were meant to turn right, no she quite literally ran smack into the mirror.

"Ow" She muttered, rubbing her head from where it hit the reflective surface. She took in her appearance and nodded. Her looks had changed to those of EnderFires aesthetics.

She spread her black feathered and wings and smirked to herself. I have these big huge wings to use to help aid in our battle she fist pumped the air and then froze in place. Her smirk slipped straight off of her face and her arm dropped back to her side. But I don't know how to use them, I don't know how to fly.

She let out a whine and turned around, stalking away from the mirror and towards the window, Ender Kitty flapping her wings and flying next to the girl as she walked.

Taking a peak out of the window, she saw the two sides standing opposite each other. "So this is the possible second fall of Sky Kingdom huh? Why don't I feel overly thrilled at that?"

Fire already knew whose side she was taking, no matter what past they shared. She had her mind set on what she thought was right, even if it meant fighting against her friend.

"So flying is out of the option, so how do I get down there?" She asked Ender Kitty. Once she remembered she was talking to a cat, she bit her lip and frowned. "That's helpful, a cat can't exactly talk back to me, can it?"

"Miow" Kitty mewed causing her to laugh.

"My point exactly" An idea popped into her head and she held out a hand for the winged kitten to jump into. Ender Kitty ran up her arm and curled up around Fire's neck, obviously more then happy to stay there whilst Fire did what she needed to do.

"Time to do this thing" She declared and lit her whole body on fire with a flame that would both benefit her, and not burn her cat in the process.

She held out her hands to the side and focused with all she could to summon the two objects that fitted comfortably in them. Her dark enchanted flame bow and her dark enchanted flame sword, both of which had been taken by the guards and locked away when she was taken as prisoner for the second time, appeared in her hands and she tightened her grip around her sword. She put the bow over her shoulder and shoved the arrows into her pocket.
