In Love With The Enemy

Chapter 22- Aww

Fire screamed loudly.

Deadlox rushed over to her side and tryed to calm her down but it didn't work. He didn't know why she was acting like this, but she was.

Maybe it was bad dream? She had drifted off to sleep.

"Fire calm down what's wrong?" He said as he tryed to put his hands on her shoulders.

"I-I..." Fire stopped suddenly as he wrapped his arms around her.

"It's okay, whatever happened. I'm here now" Deadlox muttered as he hugged her.

Fire felt safe in his arms and she relaxed almost instantly.

Deadlox let her go and stood up before walking to the door.

"Please! Don't leave me... I mean stay please" Fire begged.

Deadlox turned back and sat down next to her again. He was suprised that she was allowing him to get near her again.

"It's okay Fire. I'm here now."

Sky looked up towards the ceiling as the room grew silent and a scream rang out.

It couldn't have been Deadlox's because it was too feminine. But then again they always joked that Ty was more in touch with his feminine side than anyone else.

"What the hell was that?" Jerome asked as he finished his raw fish.

"Someone screaming" Sky answered. Why someone was screaming, who knows.

"Was it Deadlox?" Jason finished his pork chop and looked down the table at Sky.

"No"

"Oh I thought it was. He's always been in touch with his feminine side more then us" Mitch laughed.

Wonder let out a laugh and shook her head. She knew who was screaming, but why? She had no clue.

"It's FreeFire isn't it?" Ian asked from his seat next to the Mudkip.

"Yeah how'd you know?" Wonder asked curiously. Then she realised what his answer would be.

"Because she's the only other person that's not here" Ian said pulling a derpy face at her.

Wonder laughed and pulled one back before reaching across the table and taking his sunglasses from his face and putting them on.

"Looking good Wonder" Sky laughed as she struck a small pose.

Wonder felt like she fit in here, like she could be herself, and she liked it. But Fire wouldn't.

Her face fell instantly and she took off the glasses and gave them back to Ssundee. The room was silent again as Wonder got up.

"Where you going?" Mitch questioned as all eyes were on them.

"To see if Fire's alright" Wonder replyed quickly and turned away and started walking.

"I'll come aswell" Mitch yelled after her. He waved bye to everyone and then raced towards Wonder who had just walked out from the room.

He caught up to her and tapped her shoulder, laughing as she turned around confused.

"It's me again" Mitch laughed as they walked next to eachother.

"I can see"

"What's wrong?"

Wonder sighed and looked at the floor. "It's just, I really like it here... with you guys. I can be myself, and you don't mind it. But Fire wouldn't like this news, you're still the enemy" Wonder muttered. She also knew that at some point they might get to leave and return to Firenote kingdom, and then they wouldn't be able to speak to any of them again.

"It's alright. It'll work out, it always does. Plus I don't want to be your enemy, your well too cute for that" Mitch said with a sly smirk.

Wonder looked at the wall, trying to hide her now red face. "Uh thanks?"

They both burst laughing and stopped outside of Deadlox's room.

"Should we knock?" Wonder asked mitch who shook his head in reply.

They pushed open the door to see Fire and Deadlox asleep on the bed. Deadlox had his arms wrapped around Fire and she had a small smile displayed on her face.

"Aww" Wonder cooed and then shut the door before turning back to Mitch with a smile on her own face.

"Wow" Mitch said raising his eyebrows. "Deadlox's never seemed the sort of guy to end up falling asleep with the enemy as you said" he laughed "Or the sort of guy to end up falling asleep with a girl anyways!"

Wonder laughed even harder at that. "Yeah I never thought Fire would be one to fall asleep with someone, let alone the enemy as I said. Or in anyone's arms. She's really really really frigid" Wonder smiled.

Mitch linked his arm through hers and smiled down at her. "Well I'm glad your not like that. Lets go back to the others."

The two walked back down into the dining hall and everyone was chatting away like normal.

"Hey your back!" Sky yelled as they entered.

"Yup" Wonder called back.

"Should we tell them about Deadlox and Fire?" Mitch whispered to her.

"If they ask" she whispered back.

They sat down and continued eating.

"So Wheres Deadlox and Fire?" Quentin asked.

Wonder and Mitch shot eachother a look and smiled. They asked.
