The cart is thrown up into the air, as Zer0 and Salvador are in the landing zone. "Guys look out!" I call, running towards them. They thankfully manage to move in time just by a hair, taking a rough landing to the ground. I look over to where the cart was chucked to see a big ass loaderbot... Wait no - a cyborg? Except there's not much human left on this thing.

This must be Wilhelm.

"Its a trap! The Vault Key's not on the train - Abort the mission! I'm sorry soldiers but you can't handle Wilhelm, trust me!" Roland yells to us on our ECHO's as we all try to dodge flying debris from Wilhelm's attacks. "Holy shit!" I hear Gaige yell somewhere from behind me.

We've fought things big like this before, it's nothing new in size. But it's the fact that this Wilhelm guy is like a fucking war machine; tactile, smart.

I run around the side of the area to get a better look at his body, something to pick off a weak point, perhaps his circuitry. "Wilhelm nearly killed us all in New Haven without taking a scratch - If things get bad, just run!" Lilith dreaded. If Lilith, probably the most powerful siren couldn't defeat one of Jacks goons, how were we supposed to?! I look over to Gaige in horror, she shares the same look. "What?! Lilith couldn't beat this thing? Shit! Where fucked!" Gaige panics as she continues to shoot at the large robot. "Roland is wrong, Vault Hunters! you CAN defeat Wilhelm, I promise you!" Angel encourages. I back away from the battlefield as my mind begins to panic. I look at the group, who also seem clueless on how we get out of this mess. Angel is right, we can do this. We aren't supposed to die like this. We're supposed to die like legends, like vault hunters.

I force myself to calm down, and step up to go back into the battlefield. I analyze my team, trying to come up with a strategy to use our skills to the best of your abilities. "Gaige!" I call over to her. She gives me a glance, not ending combat, to let me know shes listening. "Summon D374-TP! It can help us to our advantage!" I suggest strongly. Gaige looks at me with furrowed eyebrows. "It's not ready! It still needs a lot of work before it can go on the battlefield!"
"We kinda need it! You gotta believe that Deathtrap will work! You're the best mechromancer I know and anything you make is far better than anyone I've seen make in a lifetime!" I used words to encourage her. Sure I may have been a little over the top with compliments, but it was enough for her to trust in herself that her projects are worth testing out in battle. With that, she summons Deathtrap, and there's an immediate change on the field. With the help of another body, it was enough to distract Wilhelm, even for just a moment. While this is happening, I rush over to Axton and Maya, who's hiding behind his shield turret. "Whats the situation? I'm running low on ammo here!" Axton asks me. Maya crouches behind Axton, panting quietly. "Maya, you okay?" I ask, crouching down, taking out a health hypo out of instinct. "Yeah...fine. Just feeling weak from my power. I don't think I can use my phase lock for a bit." She replies, attempting to stand on her feet with the support of my arm. I think for a moment, looking at Axton, then at Wilhelm. I think of an idea that may help us out. "Axton." I say, "We gotta finish this now and quick otherwise we won't make it." I rush, walking next to Axton and shooting my gun. "We can disable his limbs if Zer0 and Krieg go for the legs. We just need to distract Wilhelm long enough for them to get in close proximity." I explain, gesturing towards Wilhelm's platforms. "If we can stun him, then corrosive and shock elementals should be enough to take him down. It will shut down everything, which will kill him." I point at Wilhelm's exposed wires hidden behind cybernetic plating.

Axton, not really being given the time to make a choice, proceeds to ECHO every vault hunter at once. "Zer0, Krieg, listen up. Your guys' goal is to amputate the legs when you get an opening to. We need to cut off his power supply after we apprehend him so power can no longer keep him alive. Use elementals if you have to. Everyone else, you need to distract him so we cut his reaction time." Axton orders. Everyone gets the memo, and proceeds to help each other to emulate a diversion. As this ensues, Zer0 cloaks himself to get closer, and Krieg running in without hesitation, of course. Unfortunately, Wilhelm seeing Krieg run at him did not work out in our favour, and Wilhelm blew Krieg far back by a powerful force of wind. Maya runs over to Krieg to aid him. As this happens, Zer0 manages to get Wilhelm down to one knee and apprehends both legs. I widen my eyes in surprise, shaking my reaction to switch tactics and to shoot with a corrosive weapon. Corrosive material bled through his plating, exposing what skin he had left on his torso. I go to aim for Wilhelm's head, when all of a sudden, Zer0 appears from thin air and decapitates him. I stand there for a moment, my brain trying to catch up with all the events that had just happened up to this point. The team goes silent, as we share glances with each other. We slowly walk towards each other, standing in a group. "Everyone ok? Anyone hurt?" Axton asks, specifically looking at Kreig and Maya. Krieg is bruised up, but has been worse. Maya seems to have regained some strength. Maya nods, staying silent. "You guys killed Wilhelm? Holy Hell. Jack doesn't stand a chance." Roland breaks the silence.

I look over at Wilhelm's body, an odd cylinder shaped object that glows with light. "What is that...?" I beckoned, walking towards it. "Wilhelm dropped a power core. Be sure to grab it. My sensors tell me it's one-of-a-kind. If you bring it to Roland, Sanctuary's shields may never need to be charged again." Angel replies. I pick up the object. We'll be sure to to bring this to Roland indeed. This can be to our advantage to keep the people of Sanctuary safe; one less problem to deal with.
