CHAPTER 26

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!?" Mikael growls scratching his head. Looking conflicted, I feel the same way. 

"Oops, did somebody just find his mate. You don't happen to be referring to my zombie do you mighty Remus?" Hebe laughs, clapping her hands.

"Why is the daywalker calling you brother, Lycidas?" I ask not removing my eyes from him.

"Don't call your brother in law that, Melanie, show some respect" Hebe says and I flip.

"Shut the fuck up you bloody whore, you have no shame to be still talking. You are as old as time itself and the person you have to respect here is you. Going around throwing your rotten pussy to people's mates. I wonder how many bonds you've broken with those bony hands of yours!" I snap.

"Looks like I touched a nerve. This bony hands still scratched your mate's back in missionary sweety"

I don't even know what missionary is, and by the look on everyone's faces I don't want to know.

"Old woman, just be quiet for a second okay, and that laugh of yours is really giving me a headache" Crimson comes to my rescue.

"Lycidas answer me!"

"You've got yourself a little firecracker right there brother, I'm quite envious." The daywalker says smiling.

"Don't talk about my mate!" Lycidas roars. "I thought I was a whore" I mumble but I'm sure everybody heard me. "Not now Melody" is all he says before facing his brother again.

"Little brother. Glad to see you, looking as dainty and delicate as the day you were born"

"You're no brother of mine Earnest" Ariel says lowly. "Still got a grudge on your brother for leaving huh? Don't worry kids your older brother is back and is ready to take the throne."

"Like hell you are" Lycidas growls out.

" That wasn't a question little brother. See I may not be fully royalty, but I still deserve the throne since we share a father and he was the Lord Alpha. See our father was a very selfish man. He wanted everything for himself. He loved bringing mistresses home, despite him having a mate, so one drunken night with a royal vampire then boom, there was me. Perfect timing. He beat your mother into raising me as her own. No-one in the pack knew that I wasn't hers. See I didn't go and drain a vampire dry to be a hybrid, I already was, I drained a royal vampire to acquire his gift and become more powerful."

"Pitus Earnesto" I whisper in thought.

"That's my name sweetheart, among many others. Anyways, since I'm half wolf half vampire, I needed blood in my system and your mother would slice her wrist everyday just to feed me and man she was delicious, I mean her blood. Your father, our father would heal her just to cut her again for my gain. To say the least I had a lavish childhood, until you two came along. Father was always hungry for power wanted to mate with the Unseelie Court Finagle Queen. His plans were jeopardized by the news that his delta, was mated to the queen.  In rage father killed him, not because he was mated to a Fae but because he wanted that Fae all to himself."

The gears are turning in my head, so fast I can even hear the blood pumping in my veins.

"Anwar where are my parents?" The question tumbles out of my mouth before I can even filter it.

"Ooh this is the moment I've been waiting for"  Hebe claps her hands like a child getting candy.

"Oh, your parents Princess. That you should ask your mate" Earnest says with his annoying smile.

"What do you mean...I ..how would ..."

"Well, after the delta died and queen Evelyn had bore two baby girls after killing our parents of course. She sent one to the centre, to live amongst the humans first, while she was on her way back to her coven with the other, she got attacked by angry werewolves and they took her, dumping the child on the forest to be eaten by wilds, they kept her in the former alpha's secret dungeon. Years went by and Lord Lycidas took the throne, with vengeance in his heart and mind, he sent out an army to search for Queen Evelyn's lover, the father of Princess Bellus and U'ilani who was still searching for his daughters. They found him and has been living with his second chance beloved in the secret dungeons for years. Now all that was left was for Lord Lycidas to find the daughter of the queen, he took the emerald ring from the queen that was meant for her other daughter, to contain her dark powers and kept it thinking it belonged to none other than, Princess Bellus herself, not knowing he shouldn't be looking for one, but two little rascals" Earnest finishes with a dramatic bow.
