NANCY WHEELER HAD never been one to drink much. she was so focused on school during her teen years that she never partied or got wasted with her friends. she had drank a few times in college, but it was very rare.

tonight, however, she knew she needed a few drinks if she had any chance talking to robin.

there were already a couple of people on couches and at the bar. nancy glanced around for robin, but settled on the thought that she wasn't there yet. the thought eased her mind

she followed summer to the bar's counter, and they both sat down in seats. they chatted amongust themselves while they waited for the bartender to ask them what they wanted to drink.

"do you think she'll talk to us?" nancy asked, looking around the room for robin once again. however, there was still no sight of her anywhere.

"with the way she was looking at you on that stage?" summer laughed, "obviously she'll talk to us. well, you. probably not me"

"first, she was not looking at me. second, if she's talking to me, she's talking to you.  we're a package deal" nancy gave her a grin.

"and that's why you're my best friend"

"what can i get for you ladies tonight?" the bartender asked. he looked to be in his early twenties, and he was very attractive. well, to summer at least.

"can i get a tequila sunrise, please?" summer asked with a smile, twirling her hair around her fingers. he nodded, then she spoke again. "and maybe your number?"

he nodded again with a wink, then looked over at nancy. "just a sex on the beach for me"

"comin' right up," he smiled, walking away.

"i'm impressed," nancy laughed once he was out of earshot.

"was it smooth? i haven't flirted with a guy face-to-face in a few weeks," she brushed her hair behind her shoulder, "i was worried i lost my charm"

"lost your charm?" nancy repeated dramatically, her hand over her heart. "you could never"

summer laughed. they sat in silence for a few moments, the chatter of everyone else filling the air. then, everyone went silent for a split second before erupting into cheer. nancy and summer whipped their heads around to face the doors.

robin was entering the room, and she looked even better than she had before- if that was even possible. she was dressed in a black, lace bralette that made nancy lose her breath. she paired it with a black, leather skirt and red heels for a pop of color. she had a few necklaces on, as well as a few bracelets and rings.

nancy's jaw was dropped, and she was struggling to pick it back up. robin's eyes flickered around the room, scanning everyone's face in search of the pretty girl in the crowd. when her eyes finally landed on nancy, she let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding in, and gave her a small smile. nancy noticed this and blushed.

seeing nancy's jaw dropped at her outfit definitely boosted her ego, though.

"hi everyone!" robin greeted excitedly, recieving cheers from the audience in response. "i'm really happy to be able to get to know every single one of you better. i just want to set a rule first. i promise i will get to talk to everyone individually, so i'd like to ask that while i'm talking to someone, please do not interrupt our conversation. i want to be able to give my full attention to whoever i'm talking to"

almost everyone nodded in agreement to show they were listening, so robin continued. "lastly, i just wanted to thank everyone for supporting me, i couldn't do it without any of you. i'm so grateful for every single person in this room, and anyone else who has helped me along the way. thank you!"

everyone applauded her, and robin turned on her heel to find her first person to talk to. nancy watched as she greeted the first girl with a big hug and got a couple pictures, before sitting down on the couch with her.

"alright i have a sex on the beach for you," the bartender set nancy's drink in front of her, making her pull her gaze away from robin.

"thank you," nancy replied, pulling it torwards her.

"and then for you, i have a tequila sunrise," he sat summer's drink in front of her, sliding it to her. then, he reached into his pocket, pulling out a small, folded piece of paper. he slid it across the bar to her. "and my number, as requested"

"how do i know this is really your number?" summer asked as a joke, taking the piece of paper and putting it in her pocket.

"because i'd never give a fake number to a girl as pretty as you," he winked, then walked away to attend to his other customers.

"i definitely just folded," summer laughed, causing nancy to laugh too.

they talked as they downed their drinks, waiting for robin to come talk to them. nancy tried to think of what she'd say to robin, but she was mainly worried about whether she'd even be able to form a sentence while talking to robin.

izzy was pretty- very pretty. but she was nothing in comparison to robin.

eventually, everyone cleared away from the barstools, giving the bartender some free time. he started talking with summer, and nancy didn't want to third wheel.

"i'm gonna go sit on the couch," nancy commented, rising from her seat and grabbing her drink.

"i can-" summer started, not wanting to leave nancy out. however, nancy cut her off

"no, stay here" she replied, giving summer an 'i'm helping you out" look. summer understood and nodded, freeing nancy to leave.

nancy sat on an empty couch and scrolled through her phone. she glanced up every so-often, looking for where robin was.

and the last time she looked up, she saw robin talking with summer.
