"GOOD MORNING!" SUMMER announced as nancy sleepily stumbled into the kitchen. she gave nancy a smile, perfectly flipping a pancake on the griddle. "how'd you sleep?"

"the best i have in a while," nancy replied honestly. she peeked over summer's shoulder, watching the pancake cook. "making pancakes?"

"not just any pancakes- your favorite pancakes! banana pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream"

nancy smiled, her eyes lighting up with joy. "you're the best"

"i know," summer flipped two pancakes onto a plate and extended it towards nancy, "here 'ya go! the toppings are behind you"

"thank you" nancy took the plate from summer's hands. "you didn't have to do all this for me"

"consider it a celebratory breakfast"

after the two ate their food, they sat on the couch. nancy's brain was swimming with thoughts wondering how she could apologize properly to robin.

"hey, do you know if robin's still touring?"

"she is, but not here," summer looked at her curiously. "you're going to talk to her?"

"i need to apologize, but i need to do it in person. where's she at right now?"

"her next concert is tomorrow in paris"

"fuck," nancy sighed, running a hand through her hair. "i guess i'm going to paris"

"you're going?!" summer asked in disbelief, her mouth hanging open.

"yeah, and you're coming with me!"

"nance, i'm supposed to work tomorrow. plus, if you and robin are gonna be together, i don't want to see all that," she replied, a suggestive tone in her voice.

"fine. but i really wish you'd come"

"i'm sorry. i would if i could," summer paused, thinking for a moment. "wait... how are you going to get tickets? it's been sold out since the tickets released"

"well, people usually sell them at the venue, so hopefully there"

"so- let me get this straight- you're going to get on a last minute flight to paris and just hope you can get tickets? are you insane?"

"it's a small price to pay compared to what i did to her"

less then twenty-four hours later, she left on a plane at 2am the following morning. she prepared herself for the ten hour flight, putting her headphones on and settling herself in the chair. she leaned back and closed her eyes, hoping to sleep most of the way.

it was the day of the concert, and robin was only a few short minutes from going on stage. for her outfit tonight, she chose a red corset top paired with a layered black miniskirt. it was out of her comfort zone and style, but she felt like doing something different for this concert.

steve talked her through her nerves- something he always did before she went on stage- and she was excited to play for her fans. loud cheers erupted as she came onto the stage, fueling her with confidence as she sang her first song.
