"HI!" ROBIN GREETED as she walked up to summer.

summer's new potential boyfriend had walked away a few minutes before to get her another drink, leaving her alone. she had envisioned to go back to nancy once her drink came, but robin coming up to her ruined that plan.

summer turned at the sound of her voice, recognizing it immediately. even though she knew she was going to talk to robin, it still managed to take all of the words out of her mouth.

"hi!" summer managed to reply, her throat feeling dry. it was as if all of the saliva had been sucked out, leaving her with no moisture.

"i'm robin," she introduced herself, as if summer didn't already know who she was.

"i'm summer," she smiled, her body shaking. robin was her idol, and she was standing face-to-face with her.

"it's so nice to meet you!" robin returned her smile.

"can i give you a hug?" summer asked, hating how awkward and fangirl-ish she seemed.

"is that even a question? of course!" robin replied, wrapping her arms around summer. summer wanted to sob- she had been wanting this for so long.

"this is gonna sound so stupid," summer stated after they pulled away. "but can i get a picture real quick? before i cry all of my makeup off"

robin laughed, a genuine laugh. "it doesn't sound stupid, i get it. we can take all all the pictures you want!"

after they took a few pictures, they had a few various conversations. robin was asking her questions and getting to know her better, and summer was asking her questions to do the same. they talked for quite awhile before robin checked the time.

"shit! i'm so sorry but i need to talk to the next person"

"oh, no worries! i get it!" summer replied with a smile, wishing she had more time to get to know robin.

they both rose from their seats, hugging one final time before robin had to leave.

"it was a dream come true to meet you," summer told her, hoping it didn't sound too cringy.

"you're one of the sweetest people i've met," robin replied with a smile. "i hope to see you again"

"you will," summer smiled.

robin began to walk off, but then stopped in her tracks.

"hey, that girl that you've been with tonight, is she one of your friends?"

"yeah, that's nancy. she's my best friend"

nancy. robin loved that name.

"is she single?" robin asked, her voice almost a whisper. summer nodded, and robin smiled before leaving.

summer looked over to nancy, waving her back over. nancy went back to the bar and sat in the stool, looking at summer with a mix of confusion and curiosity.

"elijah!" summer called, and nancy inferred that elijah was the bartender's name. he came over to them almost immediately. "can you bring nance another sex on the beach, please?"
