ROBIN BUCKLEY GREW up as your typical city girl would. being from new york city, it seemed like everyone there had some sort of passion. her passion had always been performing and singing.

even as a little girl, robin was always singing. in the car, in talent shows, in choir- you name it. her dream was to be a famous artist like beyonce or katy perry. so, every day, that was her goal. grow a bit every day to be just like them.

in her teen years, starting at age fifteen, she began to post videos of herself singing online. she mainly posted covers of other songs to attract attention to herself. when she was sixteen, she had reached a hundred supporters. she sang her first original song, which gained a lot of popularity online for a few weeks.

she started to release a few songs on a couple music platforms, hoping that maybe this was the beginning of her career. as she aged, she only continued to gain support from many people around her.

she worked in a local small business to build up money for a few shows, eventually. after saving until she turned nineteen, she finally had enough money to afford a small concert at a local bar. since then, she had been planning her first tour- a small one, but one with at least five shows.

she was twenty-two when she could finally make it happen.

she talked with her team and record label to find out what shows she could do. they landed on about six places to go to across the country. she had a place in texas, california, one in her home city, and a couple others.

one of the others included indianapolis, indiana. it was a city she hadn't been to yet, and she figured she might as well hit a spot in that area. they found a nice place for decently cheap, and decided she was going to indiana.

she had to wait several months before she was even able to announce it to her fans, and many more months after that before the tour started. but the news was out there, and tour was only a few months away.

she planned anxiously for her shows, making sure everything was thought-out and detailed. she formed a plan for how long she would stay in each area, as she booked her shows a week apart from each other. she did this so she could have time to explore the area and do fun things before leaving for another show.

plus, if she met someone cute, wouldn't she want to hang around for a bit?

nancy wheeler grew up in hawkins, indiana her whole life. it was a small town- it wasn't necessarily rural, but it wasn't the city either. it was right in the middle.

she mainly cared about her grades growing up. she didn't have anything she was particularly good at- she didn't have a special talent or do any spots. she was smarter than the average person, though, so her special talent was really just her brain.

but despite all of her work, she decided to go to butler university. after working so hard all her life, she was already burnt out by the time she even got to college. she didn't want to push herself too much and go to a big, fancy school.

plus, she didn't want to move away from everyone. her best friend, summer chavez, had been planning on going to butler university. her girlfriend, izzy williams, had been planning to go there too. she didn't want to go anywhere else and be all alone.

when it was time for college, she roomed with summer. izzy decided last minute that she'd rather go somewhere else- a college an hour away. nancy spent a whole week crying over it, wishing her girlfriend would be at college with her.

they stayed together and did the whole long-distance thing for several more years. they rarely had any issues, and still saw each other multiple times a week. however, izzy grew more distant when she turned twenty-one, and nancy was still twenty.

nancy and izzy began to fight a lot more about various things. things such as one of them not replying, their opinions, or who was visiting who. izzy stopped wanting to make the drive down to nancy as much, meaning nancy was the one driving almost every single time.

nancy started to get tired of driving a two-hour round trip every other day, and she slowly stopped coming. they began to see each other once a week, sometimes even every other week.

a month after nancy's twenty-first birthday, izzy showed up to nancy's apartment unannounced. she asked to talk, then proceeded to dump her. she explained that she just needed someone closer to her and someone who made her feel more loved.

that was a month ago, and nancy still isn't over it. she stalks izzy's social medias every single day, hoping for izzy to randomly text her and want her back. she stopped going out as much, as she fell into a post-breakup depression.

summer hated seeing nancy like this, and she tried her hardest to cheer her up.

summer was ecstatic when she heard that one of her favorite artists, robin, was going on tour. she was even happier when she saw she was coming to indianapolis. summer planned to go with her other friends, since nancy had never showed much interest in robin's music.

however, when those friends cancel, she decides that maybe she should force nancy to go. and she vows to herself that she will not let her say no.
