The Elements

Chapter Twenty One

Flora was helping construct the plan.
"So first we need some sort of army." She said scratching her head.
"We'll all the soldiers around us are dead, so how do think that's going to help?" Cole asked sharply.
Flora snacked her forehead and thought, I'm going to slap him if he says another word discouraging the plan.
As if Flora and Arabella had telepathy, Arabella went over to Cole and slapped him. Hard.
"What was that for?" Cole asked rubbing his now burning red cheek.
"Because you wouldn't shut up." Arabella said defensively and crossed her arms. "Don't make me do it again."
"Point taken." Cole nodded and quickly gave a glare to Arabella.
Selene smacked her forehead and rolled her eyes." If we keep arguing and slapping each other like this we're never going to finish this plan."
"I agree." Asher said.
"I double agree." Jason said and nodded.
Flora sighed before she spoke for herself." It's true, but it's possible this arguing could get us somewhere. Maybe we'll have the key to finding this 'Moonstone' right under our noses."
"Wait, there's somewhere other than in this world that I've heard about the Moonstone." Arabella said.
"Well, where?" Cole asked.
"Don't make me slap you again because I will," Arabella glowered at Cole. She resumed to talking." I think it was when you saw that green light and I told you to fight something, Flora?"
"I remember that." Flora responded, having a flashback of when she saw the green light that night, and that Arabella and Lilly were there.
"I remember now. I heard a voice that said 'You, Arabella, are the Guardian of the Moonstone. You have to protect it no matter what, even if this means protecting it from family.'" Arabella explained, toying with her glasses.
"That's weird," Flora said, narrowing her eyes at her feet in concentration.
"Flora! Flora are you still awake?" A voice asked.
It was Asher, and he was tapping her shoulder.
"Oh! Yeah, I'm alive." Flora said.
I must've fallen into space like I always do, she thought. And at all the wrong times.
"So is there anything else?" Flora asked.
To everyone's horror Arabella's eyes suddenly closed and she collapsed to a heap on the ground.
"Oh no!" Selene gasped and put her hand over her mouth with a terrified look on her face.
Cole's face remained the same, but if you looked hard enough, you'd see concern blooming slowly on his face.
Asher and Jason's faces were identical with fear.
Flora's face held a fearful look and she crouched down to see her fallen friend.
"She's not dead-is she?" Cole dared to ask."I mean I'd love to give her a piece of her own medicine before....you know."
"Nows not the time Cole," Flora barked at Cole and gave a concerned look to her friend.
Asher spoke up. "What do we do?"
"Hey! You know, Water could be known to have healing powers, so maybe I can heal her!" Selene said glowing with pride.
"Then work your magic, Water Goddess." Cole taunted.
"I will slap you, be warned." Selene threatened to the boy and crouched down near Arabella. "Keep in mind I don't exactly know how to do this, so if you see anything weird-well, I don't know."
Flora stood up, took one last look at her friend and looked at Selene. "If this works, could you heal my mother too?"
"Sure why not?" Selene said and started to wave water around in a rhythmic way that had Flora mesmerized.
But Flora took her eyes off the water, and focused them on her best friend.
Soon enough, Arabella's eyes opened and filled with life once again.
"It worked!" Asher cheered.
"How'd you do that?" Arabella asked as she and Selene stood up.
"Well, apparently I have secret healing powers that I didn't know about." Selene shrugged.
"So anyway now back to that plan, I'm pretty sure we already have a strong army,us." Flora said giving a small smile to her friends." Without all of our differences, similarities, and personalities we probably wouldn't be able to get the Moonstone."
Soon hard, swift, ground shaking footsteps approached, and the sound of arrows.
"Oh hell no, I thought we lost them!" Cole said horrified, and with that Flora started to run, leading the group.
"We're not gonna die today right?" Asher asked Flora, catching up to her in the process.
Flora ran just a little faster. "I don't really think this is the time to think about that, but that's a way to think."
Soon enough, just as quickly as the group had ran they had escaped the footsteps and arrows.
They could find the Moonstone.
In peace.
At least for now.
