It was the day before she'd go back to school. But it would be different. Arabella was going into 7th grade and couldn't be happier.
She danced around her pretty pink room, listening to her favorite songs, all on one playlist.
"I'm going to have my own locker, I'm going to get more clothes, I'll meet cute boys-" Arabella interrupted herself by singing along to the song. It was a bubblegum pop song, as in it was really fun, party song.
She started to pick out her outfit for the next day. It was a white tank top with pink bows on it, a pink shimmery skirt, pink Converse sneakers with a DIY bow, and a pink headband with a bow. She took off her glasses and compared the bow on her glasses to the ones all over her outfit. She could barely see the bows without her glasses; everything was all blurry.
"Oh jeez," Arabella said, becoming slightly lightheaded. She flopped onto her bed, which was a pink masterpiece. Her whole room was. Her eyes hurt, so she slipped her glasses back on her face, where they were supposed to go.
"Arabella! Dinner!"
This was her mother, Olivia, who was just as perky as Arabella sometimes. That's probably where she got it from.
"Coming!" Arabella chirped, and ran out of her room downstairs.
There was pasta on the table, and it was a dinner for two. Arabella didn't have any siblings and she didn't know hat happened to her father.
"So how was your day?" Olivia asked, making a plate of pasta for her daughter and then for herself.
"It was pretty good, but I'm kinda sad summer's coming to an end." Arabella shrugged.
"Are you excited for 7th grade?" Olivia pondered.
"Well, the question is, who wouldn't be?" Arabella smiled and then started to devour her pasta. She didn't know how hungry she was until she smelled the saucy, savory smell of pasta. She was ravenous.
Soon enough, Arabella was full, and she put her plate in the dishwasher. Her mother started to wash the dishes, while Arabella cleaned up the table.
Soon enough she went upstairs, slipped into her PJs, and then went on her phone. She looked at Instagram, admiring her posts of DIYs, nail art, books, drawings, selfies, outfits, and puns. She posted a drawing she had done earlier and then did some other things. Time flew, and it was soon nine o 'clock. She put her phone on her nightstand and plugged it in it's charger. She drifted off to sleep, thinking about how the next day may be a train wreck, or an exciting day.

Arabella's tired eyes opened to the beginning of a sunrise. She looked at her phone. It was only 5:45 am, which she wanted to get up.
But it's too early. Oh well.
She got up, and sat at the edge of her bed. She started to brush her rats nest of hair, and soon it was silky and not tangled. She slipped her pink headband in her hair and put on her perky, girly, very pink outfit. Arabella walked to the bathroom, just as equally ink as her room. She jumped in the shower after putting on her shower playlist. After she got out of the warm, cozy shower she shrugged into her clothes, brushed her teeth, put on lip gloss, dried her hair, and left the bathroom. Arabella entered the kitchen where her pink Vera Bradley lunchbox waited on the counter. She made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, put in some strawberries, placed a M&Ms cookie in it (the M&Ms were pink), a chewy bar, a bag of chips, and filled up her pink water bottle and placed it inside.
"There, now I'm done." Arabella whispered with satisfaction.
She next ate breakfast and then grabbed her phone and took a 'first day of school' selfie.
Soon, she was out the door.

Arabella walked into the middle school. Her new school. She soon spotted her best friend, Flora by her new locker.
"Hey, Flora! What's up?" Arabella called to her and almost skipped down the hall. She had her backpack on and her schedule in hand, wondering what Flora's schedule had in store.
"I like your outfit," Flora commented.
"Same to you!" Arabella chirped.
"Well, I gotta get to class, Arabella. What class do you have first?" Flora asked.
" I have," Arabella started to read down her schedule. "I have science first."
After Arabella wen to her locker and grabbed her stuff and put stuff back, she and Flora headed to 7th grade science class. She took her seat next to Flora, and soon not long after class started, she saw Flora staring at their pencil in concentration.
Why is she doing that?

Later, after dinner Arabella ran up to her room. She went to pick out her outfit for the next two days. When she was done, it was well past nine; it was already ten.
"Oh!" Arabella gasped and with that hurried into her PJs. But the thing was when she stared at her ceiling after she got into bed, she couldn't shake the feeling that something weird was going to happen.
She wasn't tired.
She couldn't sleep.
Arabella was tired of this, and with that she got out of bed and looked out her window. She saw a green light near Flora's woods, which was odd.
Huh?
The ground was a ways below her, but she knew she could get out.
Now I feel like Rapunzel.
Arabella got dressed into the outfit she'd worn that day and put her glasses on her face, in their place. She took a leap of faith and jumped out the window. She was lucky she's taken gymnastics because she landed without a scratch on her.
I hope Mom doesn't notice I'm gone, but she's probably asleep anyway.
Arabella hurried over to Flora's house, wondering if she was awake. She tapped on the window, trying to get her attention. To her surprise, Flora opened the window.
"What are you doing here?" Flora hissed.
"You might not believe me but I saw a green light behind your house. It was in the woods." Arabella answered.
"If we're really quiet we can see it, okay?" Flora said.
"Okay," Arabella answered, nodding.
Flora jumped out her window and onto the dewy grass. They then inched closer to the light, it now shining brighter then ever.
"Flora?" A voice said, a worried tone to her voice.
Well, we're screwed.
Flora froze, and Arabella couldn't tell if this was good or bad.
"Fight it!" She cried, hoping her friend would be ok.
Soon Flora was on the ground, eyes closing.
Like I said, we're screwed.
But soon, a dizzy feeling washed over Arabella, and it wasn't because her glasses were off. But she took them off, but that made the dizzy feeling worsen.
"Arabella, you are the Protecter of The Moonstone. You must protect from evil, and even if this means family."
What does that mean?
Arabella felt her body go numb, she landed on the ground, and before she could tell of anything else happened, the world blackened before her very eyes.
Am I dead?
