Cole was was waking up.
Or so he thought.
He was really in a dream, in a fiery flame prairie, that looked like a living- well you know. He was lying in the ground, a cut on his face, a few bruises gracing his arms and legs, and his whole body ached.
He blinked a few times before the world came to his eyes, and everything else.
"What the hell?" Cole groaned, and sat up, rubbing his head carefully, seeing a bit of scarlet blood on his fingertips.
He stood up, groaning in effort, and scanned the area. He saw a woman with a white dress on, she had sparkling silver eyes, and white hair.
"Oh hell, I've been waiting." She sneered.
"What the hell are you doing in my dream?" Cole asked." Or whatever this is."
The woman laughed an evil laugh." This isn't a dream dear, it's a side effect of the Death Mist. My name is Lilith, the Guardian of Death."
Cole was shocked. This was the villain his friends were up against. This woman, who needed the Moonstone. But for what?
"Go away. I don't want to see you." Cole growled, remembering this was probably the woman who'd ordered James to take his friend hostage. For maybe no reason at all.
"But I have I story to tell about your mother, Ember. Would you like to hear that?" Lilith snarled, and one word rang in his ears.
Ember.
"What do you mean?" Cole barked, and narrowed his eyes.
"I mean I have a sorry to share about your mother, Cole. It's simple really." Lilith said darkly, an evil, dark glint in her silver eyes.
"Alright. Talk." Cole said bitterly, with no regret.
"Your mother was an Obtainer. That's how you became one. She died, as you know. Ember was a kind soul, loving and all that crap, but she had a dark side. She was a Death Obtainer." Lilith said, and paused." She wanted the best for you, and she couldn't control her Death Element, and now she's dead. So you never got to meet her because of fate. Now, how was that?"
Cole wanted to cry. Furious tears ran down his face, but he ignored them. " So that's it. That can't be it."
"Well, if you join the Darkness, maybe you'll learn more about her. You can take out your revenge on the good, you were meant for being bad. You just have to expose your dark side, because you have evil blood in your veins. You have the Death Element in your veins, in your blood. And you can't get rid of it." Lilith snarled, and a smirk of pleasure appeared on her face.
"Cole!"
This was a voice Cole didn't pay attention to, because his worried thoughts clouded his vision.
I'm evil. That can't be.
It's not possible.
I don't want to be.
Cole's violin came back to him, as a hand touched his shoulder.
"What did you do to him?" A furious voice asked.
Cole realized it was Kala, and she didn't exactly look happy right now.
"Oh, all I did was tell him a story. I dare say, it was quite entertaining to me." Lilith snarled in reply.
"What the hell? He knows? You are a mean, cruel soul Lilith. I hate you, and your alliance. Ember might be gone, but I'm not. I cared about her. I cared about her because she was my sister." Kala said, as a single, crystal tears flew off her face and dropped to the ground.
Cole didn't know of he could say anything.
Do anything.
He didn't know of he could trust anyone anymore.
He didn't know if he could trust himself.
Cole collapsed to the ground, and Kala knelt beside him in worry.
"Cole, Cole, are you awake?"

"Cole, Cole, wake up!"
Cole didn't know what the voice was, or where it was coming from.
His eyes opened and all he saw was blurry shapes. But soon those shapes turned into his friends.
"Are you ok? We all woke up hours ago, but you were still passed out on the ground." Asher said as he and Arabella helped Cole to his feet.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." Cole said, shrugging all his feelings away.
As he walked over to his friends, Flora walked up to him.
"I'm glad you're still alive. Anyway we were just about to-"
"It's alive!" Jason yelled, laughing.
"Now is not the time for references." Asher said, smacking his forehead.
Cole didn't know if they were going to get the Moonstone.
But a part of him said they would.
But with him around, Cole wasn't so sure.
