Cole had just remembered he was in a dream, and now he didn't know if he actually fighting Selene, or was it a replica?
He was concerned about Selene, but more about himself. Cole didn't know if he'd leave this dream, or if he'd get out alive.
"Selene, is that you?" Cole yelled, his voice half unstable, half worried.
Selene didn't reply, and that meant something suspicious to Cole.
"It's not you." Cole whispered.
Selene snickered as if she knew all along.
"It's not you!" Cole screamed, and threw fire around the not Selene.
Soon to his horror the clone Selene vanished before he could do anything else.
Cole looked around but the clone wasn't to be found. To make matters worse, Coles heart was pounding against his chest as if wanting to escape the hell.
Where are my friends? Did they already leave? Cole thought, and shook his head.
"Oh dear, it seemed you've lost your friends and you can't find them again."
Cole slightly gasped at the voice, and was now shaken up.
"Who are you?" He stuttered.
"I'm someone important, Cole. You should join the Darkness, you have the strengths that we do, and other abilities that none of us posses."
"I will never join you."Cole answered, clenching his hands into tight, tense fists.
"Oh really? Well, with someone people I don't take no for an answer."
Cole was terrified at what came next.
His throat felt like it was being clenched in tight hands, but there were no hands there. Cole wheezed and tried to call for help as the small amount of light around him flickered. His vision started to mess up, one example being that he started to see double, but the thing was he just couldn't tell. Cole knew there was no hope left when he felt his body go limp.
I can't die, not today,Cole thought.
"If you down join the Darkness, then I might consider letting you die in your sleep."
"You-won't....trick me....that easily!" Cole mangled to scream as he preyed the invisible hands off his neck.
When they were finally off Cole filled with relive and the pain escaped his body.
"It seemed you had just enough strength to pass that test. I hope you pass the next one, Fire Obtainer."
Just after the voice had said that Cole's eyes closed which sent a jolt of fresh, brand new panic.
Then they opened.
And Selene and Flora helped him up.
