Cole was running back to camp to warn his friends. He feared the worst for Selene, but knowing her for a short time, had no idea if she'd be okay.
"Guys!" He cried, his body aching all over.
All his friends turned to him at the sound of his voice.
"What is it? Where is Selene?" Flora asked carefully, standing up.
"I don't know who kidnapped her. A boy around my age with platinum blonde hair, brown eyes and pale skin had her. There was also a girl who looked similar to the boy and a man with an appearance like yours, Arabella." Cole said, his breathing almost back to normal.
"We gotta go after her. What else can we do?" Flora said glancing at her friends.
"Well, let's go! This'll be my first adventure!" Jason cheered, but no one else cheered with him.
"That's the same for all of us." Cole said, agreeing, but he sure wasn't happy about it. On other occasions, maybe so, but not now. He didn't even crack any jokes that's how worried he was, and that meant something.
Flora led the group, Arabella, Asher, Jason and Cole close on her tail.
From running earlier, Cole was still a little bit out of energy, but he'd live. He had now idea who the people who had taken Selene from earlier, but they had certainly looked evil.
Soon enough the group approached the man that Cole had seen earlier. It was defiantly him with his sapphire blue eyes, and brown hair he could be recognized.
"Alright, were you the man who took are friend?" Flora commanded.
"Well, that isn't a very nice way to treat a stranger, this is by questioning them firsthand. I had nothing to do with it." The man snarled.
"Where is she? Dude, you gotta tell us." Jason said, crossing his arms threateningly.
"Oh no, a little 7 year old boy is going to hurt me. You can't do anything to me, boy. I could kill you right here right now. All of you I could do that." The man retorted.
"Not today," Cole said, adding a choice word after that. He didn't care of he angered the guy, he just wanted to get this over with, whatever he was going to do.
"Oh, if you keep talking like that, this fight is going to be ugly." The man sneered.
"Mom tells us not to use the b word." Jason whispered to his brother, but it seemed it was loud enough for the man to hear.
The man scoffed. "I'm allowed to use whatever word I want." He then threw Jason against a nearby tree with a guest of wind.
"The hell?! What is wrong with you!" Cole screamed, and used a more powerful word to call the man.
Cole watched as Flora walked up to the man, pulled the sword from his belt and held it at his throat. "Where is Selene. I won't ask you again. And let Jason go, or you'll have a worse fate."
Cole was surprised at this sudden threat, but it could come in handy.
"I'm not threatened by you, I'm not afraid of anything." The man snarled. "And I'm not going to tell you why we need the Moonstone. Why do you want it so badly?"
"Well, maybe, you can tell us where Selene is?" Flora asked bitterly, placing the sword closer to his throat, and the man groaned.
"I'm not going to reveal that, but my names is James. Now before my mind changes about letting you freely leave without being killed, let me go." The man said. But then he vanished into thin air.
Cole wondered where James could be, and he now feared the worst.
"Oh yes, I'm right here."
Cole turned at the sound of James's voice, but soon he disappeared for good.
"I already have what I came for."
The whisper of James's voice lingered in the air, and Cole was terrified, and his friends were too.
"There's no doubt about it. We need to get Selene back and get the Moonstone. Fast." Flora said, fear written on her face and controlling her voice.
Cole knew they had to get the Moonstone.
They had to get Selene back.
They didn't know what was going to happen, but if it was good or bad, they had to do it.
No matter the outcome.
