Willow's pov

Somewhere on the internet it says that girls cry on their birthday every year. That fact was true for me. My mother whom I waited for every year to pick me up like she'd promised almost never showed up. Jesse had always been the one to cheer me up when she inevitably left me disappointed by our father's doorstep. To this day like the idiot I was, I'd hoped she'd show up, not in the physical way but at least in the form of text. She had my number so why? Why did she never say those simple two words or even anything at all.

Not to mention that happened so close to my birthday. I was in no mood to celebrate whatsoever. This time of year just brought unwanted memories and of course Jesse the wonderful brother he is insisted I did something today. I tried to convince him to go out with his now girlfriend Dina but he wasn't having it. Neither was she, Dina promised to take me on a "shopping spree" and so this is how I got stuck walking in and out of a dressing room while Dina and Ellie watch.

"Hmm spin for me?" I do as Dina says and she tilts her head. "Flattering for your bust but doesn't do much for your ass."

"Not like she has much ass to show off in the first place."

My cheeks heat up and Dina smacks Ellie on her shoulder. "What's wrong with you? She has a perfectly shaped ass!"

"Lower your voice." I whisper yell at Dina and she grimaced. "Sorry."

I didn't know what was more embarrassing, Ellie calling my ass small or Dina letting the whole store it was the perfect shape. "Dina when are we gonna eat it's been hours."

Ellie complains yet again and Dina gives her a deadly look. "Not until I'm done with transforming Willow into a even hotter babe."

Ellie let's out a loud grunt earning her another smack on the shoulder from Dina. "What? You know this isn't my thing. Why'd you bring me along?"

"Because I wanted a girls day!" Dina places her hands on her hips and Ellie sighs. I was starting to think bringing Jesse wouldve been better at least he would've made nice comments.

"If finding the perfect dress is what it takes to get some food around here. Just watch I will find the most perfect dress you've ever seen."

"Ellie? Where are you going?" Dina and I watch Ellie as she storms off from the dressing room area. "Let's just continue without her. God she's gonna be the end of me."

"She better bring something good back. Okay next dress." I nod and walk back in the dressing room, I change into the next dress. A small black dress with a slit on both sides of my legs. I walk out of dressing room and I hear Dina gasp. "This. Is. It."

"What really?"

"Did you look in the mirror? I mean it fits you in all the right places. Spin?" I give her a spin and she nods. "Yup, go change we're getting it."

Once I'm done changing into my regular clothes I see Ellie approaching from the distance a small white dress on her hands. "Here. Perfect dress."

Ellie shoves the dress in Dinas hands but she shoves it back. "We've already found the perfect dress. Hmph. Without you. Hmph." Dina walks off like a angry child and I chuckle.

"But, but. I just-" Ellie kept looking back and fourth between me and the dress and I take it from her hands. "Here I'll still get it."

"No! It's fine. Just wasted my time finding it for no reason." She mutters under her breath and hangs the dress off a random rack. "I said I'd buy it."

"Forget it." She mumbled and I sighed. Good thing about the trip was Dina payed for the whole makeover which was a pretty neat birthday gift. The other "gift" not so much. That being a party. I wanted nothing more than to rot in bed.
