all I could do was cry

Jackson walked into the scan room Amelia had been held up in, thinking she'd be with her sister. He hesitated when he only saw Amelia in the room but knocked on the doorframe getting her attention.

"Where's your sister? I need to talk to her."

Amelia sighed, "You and me both, these residents have zero imagination. She went to New York to visit her dad's grave then she's going to her mother's. She kinda freaked when that woman drove off a bridge and the chief said she needed to be cleared by a therapist before she could come back to work and part of that was going to New York, or something like that."

"Oh, do you know when she's going to be back?"

"Uh, she should be back tomorrow or the day after that. It's supposed to be a short trip." Amelia informed him.

He nodded, "Okay, thank you."

Walking into the lobby of the hospital and spotting Owen, Gisele quickly went over to him handing him a paper.

He looked up at her before looking down at the paper, "What's this?"

"A note from my therapist saying I'm cleared for surgery."

He furrowed his brows, "What? How? It's only been two days."

"Guess I wasn't as messed up as you thought I was, you know since I didn't kill anyone or slice anyone's hand open."

Owen nodded, "Okay then."

Gisele smiled before walking away and towards the residents lounge when her sister came up behind her, "Thank god you are back, your resident class lacks imagination."

"I'm happy to see you too."

"How was the trip?" Amelia asked.

She shrugged, "It was whatever, I managed to dodge Nancy and Kathleen, also saw mom. By the way she wants you to call, took flowers to my dad's grave. And managed to convince my therapist I didn't need to go all the way to Samoa to visit my mother's grave."

"That's good."

Gisele nodded, "Yeah, so why are my fellow residents lacking imagination."

"I have a plan to save Herman and take out her whole tumor-" Suddenly Gisele was pulled away from Amelia.

She turned and saw Jackson, "Wow, looks like I'm popular today." She joked but immediately turned serious when she saw the helpless look on Jackson's face, "What's wrong?"

He frustratedly ran his hand over his face, "April's mom is here and told April there was no point in getting the results of the CVS to see if the baby has type 2 or 3."

Gisele shook her head in disbelief, "What the hell. Why wouldn't she want to know? You have to know."

"I know, but she keeps saying "god doesn't give us more than we can handle."

Gisele scoffed, "Sure, okay."

"Or something about god giving, I don't know. They want to go to church, all of us including me." Jackson said.

"But church isn't your thing, I get that it's theirs and it brings them comfort but not to you. You should go somewhere or do something that brings comfort to you, you have a right to get the results of the CVS because it's your kid too. Then both of you go somewhere that gives both of you comfort."

He nodded, "Thanks." She stepped forward and gave him a hug, "I needed that."

She stepped back with a smile, "Call me if you need me."
