GISELE POKED HER HEAD OUT OF THE RESIDENTS LOUNGE AND INTO THE HALLWAY, checking to see if the coast was clear.
"You're gonna have to talk to him eventually, you know that right?" Stephanie said.
She rolled her eyes, "Not if I can help it, which I can," she said, "besides I'm not the one who messed up. He is. Therefore, I'm not talking to anyone first."
"She's right," Jo added, "She doesn't owe him anything and you can't force her to talk to him when she's clearly not ready."
"I'm not forcing her-"
"But you won't shut up about it. All you talk about is how she should have a conversation about-"
"Can you two just stop," they had been arguing about her situation ever since she came back to work and she was annoyed, "I don't want to talk about it and I'm not going to, so just drop it. Please." Pulling our her AirPods, she placed them in her ears.
Seeing no sign of him, she stepped out of the residents lounge walking as fast as she could without actually running. She'd been avoiding taking the elevators at all costs since she had gotten back, not wanting to chance it seeing Jackson.
She went into the stairwell and began climbing the stairs, drowning out the world with music. Moments later, she felt someone grab hold of her forearm, taking out an earbud she turned around only to be disappointed to see it was the one person she had been avoiding. Rolling her eyes, she turned around and began up the stairs again.
Just as she was about to shove the earbud back into her ear, Jackson called after her, "Gisele!" He ran, catching up to her and once again grabbing hold of her forearm.
She forcefully yanked her arm out of his grip, "What part of 'I'm not ready to talk' do you not fucking understand? Now, leave me the hell alone." She stormed away leaving him stunned.
Running up to flights of stairs, getting to the cardio floor, flinging the door open as tears threatened to spill. Entering the hallway she ran into someone.
It was Nathan, "Woah, have to look where you're going," he steadied her, noticing her watery eyes, "You okay?"
Gisele instantly bursted our into in tears, she didn't even want to cry but seemed to have no control over her emotions, "Ye-I don't even know anymore," she said wiping her tears away with the back of her hand, "Sorry for crying all over you. I have go, I'm gonna be late for rounds."
"You sure you're good?"
She shrugged, "I have to be."

She remained quiet sitting on the all too familiar couch, watching the fidget spinner spin round and round.
"You've been ignoring me for the past 15 minutes." Carson spoke.
She sighed, stopped the toy setting it on the coffee table in front of her before falling back into the couch, "Fine."
"You've had an emotionally hard month." She had heard what had happened between her Gisele and Jackson the second she stepped foot in the hospital when she had gotten back from seeing family.
"Yup, between my grandmother dying, finding out I'm pregnant, telling said father I'm pregnant and wanted an abortion then he followed me and announced my personal business in front of the whole hospital."
"Which is wrong on so many levels and an invasion of privacy but I can see you're not entirely ready to talk about that just yet so let's talk about you're grandmother passing."
