THE TWO RESIDENTS MADE THEIR WAY TO THE RESIDENTS LOUNGE, Jo needed put back some of her things in her cubby and Gisele was (reluctantly) accompanying her. She was happy to help her friend but she really didn't want to get confronted or spotted by Jackson.

   "Why couldn't you just bring your things back tomorrow?" Gisele questioned.

   "Because I'd be tempted to leave."

"Then I'd just track you down."

"Shepherd!" Gisele turned toward the familiar voice, there stood the chief in the doorway, "A word."

Gisele followed Bailey out into the hall, hoping Jackson didn't appear on this floor of the hospital.

"Thank you, Bailey. For being so understanding of my... circumstances."

Bailey waved her off, "No need to thank me. I see you've had your babies, congratulations." She was impressed with how quickly Gisele bounced back.

"Thanks. I'll be back working tomorrow."

Bailey's eyes widened, the girl had absolutely lost her mind, "Are you crazy? Go enjoy your babies."

Personally, she thinks she's had a good amount of quality time with her babies and was ready to get back to work, "I've missed so much and I'm falling behind."

Bailey scoffed, the youngest Shepherd was a a literal prodigy, she doubted she'd fall behind at all, "Gisele you have three new babies you need to take care for, not to mention yourself. And I'm not at all worried about you falling behind because you are a genius. So, go home and enjoy your new babies

Gigi sighed, "Fine."

Jo exited the residents lounge, "Ready to go?" She asked Gisele.

She nodded, "Yup. Let's go."

"How's Emmy doing with all the babies?" Jo asked.

"I think she's about to lose her mind," and honestly so was she now that she was going to not be retiring to work, "You wanna come over?"

Gisele asked as they reached the elevator and she pressed the button to the lobby.

Jo furrowed her brows, looking at her friend as if she were insane, "No."

"Come on, you shouldn't be alone," Gisele said, "Alex is obviously not going to be there, and Meredith is busy. Even Stephanie is on call, she's going to be here all night."

The elevator dinged and the doors slid open, "I don't know."

They stepped onto the elevator, Gisele pressed the lobby button then excessively continued to push the close door button, again not wanting to run into her baby daddy.

Jo frowned, this was some concerning behavior, "Gigi, stop. You're gonna break the elevator." She lightly smacked Gigi's hand away from the buttons.

A sense of relief washed over her when the doors finally slid closed, "I just don't want to see Jackson."

   "I get it. Trust me I do but you're going to have to talk to him soon."

She leaned back against the wall, and sighed, "I know. I just need the day then I'll tell him tomorrow, I swear. I'll even bring them to him tomorrow."

    "Okay. I'll go home with you."

Jackson did his best to calm himself before walking into April's hospital room. He inhaled deeply before exhaling then entering.

April sat in her bed, propped up while holding their baby in her arms. She looked up and smiled at him.
