"Oh my god! You did it! You did it! That was fucking amazing!" Sakura exclaimed, floating in the water.Sasuke clung to his board as the waves gently washed against him. He followed through with Sakura's request and never imagined the day would come when he could stand on his own two feet and catch a wave.
Slightly tapping his ear, Sasuke tried to get rid of the water stuck inside. "Are you sure? You're not just saying that because we're dating now, right?"
Sakura swam towards him, a huge smile on her face. "No way! That was fucking amazing, Sasuke."
Sasuke couldn't help but smile at Sakura's enthusiastic response. He had always been skeptical that it would take longer than he thought.
As the salty breeze blew through their hair, Sasuke looked at his girlfriend, her face beaming with joy. She had pushed him out of his comfort zone and encouraged him to try something new. He wasn't just a guy stuck in a boring office job.
Still floating on his board, Sasuke gazed at Sakura. "I never thought I could do this," he admitted, sounding genuinely surprised. "But you believed in me, and I'm grateful for that."
Sakura's smile widened, her eyes filled with pride. "You should be proud of yourself, Sasuke," she said sincerely. "You did it! I told you that you'd get the hang of it, right?"
Sasuke reached out and held Sakura's hand, their fingers intertwining in the cool water. He felt warmth spreading through his chest.
It had only been a few days since they became official. He knew he liked Sakura, but what was this feeling?
Could it be love?
No... it's too soon.
Sasuke smirked. "True... I might even become better than you someday. Just a matter of time, of course."
Sakura splashed water playfully towards him. "I see I have competition now. Keep dreaming, pretty boy."
He glanced at Sakura, his eyes wandering all over her body. These past few days had been hectic, and he only had the chance to see Sakura late in the day or on weekends. Sasuke still couldn't believe that the stunning woman in front of him was his. He craved everything about her. The way her wet pink hair clung to her smooth skin... the way her emerald eyes sparkled when she was happy... or the way her plump lips curved into a smile.
Sakura, still in the water, noticed his gaze and swam awkwardly closer to him. "If you keep staring at me like that, I might explode, you know."
Shit, he didn't realize how long he had been staring, and his trunks suddenly felt a bit tighter.
Sasuke played with her fingers gently, signaling for them to go back to shore. "Are you busy tonight? Can you come over?"
He had something else in mind.
They had only known each other for a few months, but Sakura didn't need a lifetime to understand what he was suggesting. She giggled, glancing at Sasuke. "Feeling a bit eager, huh?"
Sasuke looked back at her. "Sorry, I can't help it. You're so beautiful."
He always knew how to be smooth.
"As much as I love the attention I'm getting from you right now, I'm busy tonight. Lady Tsunade wants me to start an overnight shift today. I'll be shadowing her, and she mentioned that there's someone important she wants me to meet."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, curious. "Someone important? Who?"
Sakura shrugged. "I'm not sure yet... she didn't actually mention it to me, now that I think about it."
