Letting out a sigh of relief, Sakura wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead as she leaned her back against the bed. She may have overestimated how much she really needed to pack for this trip.

The planned getaway with friends was today, and she had only just started packing now.

She regretted how last-minute her packing had been.

Sasuke's head peeked around the corner as he stood in front of her, "Are you ready?" He seemed a bit hesitant to ask, noticing the annoyed state his girlfriend was in.

Sakura let out an exhausted laugh, "Barely. Care to help me close my suitcase? I don't know why it won't fucking close."

Sasuke couldn't help but chuckle as he knelt down, "Could it possibly be the hundreds of clothing articles that you might not even need?"

"Huh? Are you kidding me? If we're going away on this trip, I definitely need more than one outfit. Especially if Naruto is planning this; it's wise to have some extra clothing," Sakura argued.

"We're only going to be gone for three nights. I'm sure you'll have enough," Sasuke grunted as he finally got the zipper to close. He stood up and held out his hand.

Sakura grabbed his hand, then dusted off her knees as she let out a big stretch, "How many minutes until they're here?"

Sasuke looked at his phone, "They should be here soon. What about Ino and Temari? Any idea when they'll arrive?"

Sakura shrugged, "Ino said she'd be here by noon, but knowing her, she'll probably get distracted at the last minute. Sai is driving them here, though."

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "And Temari?"

"I think they're getting a ride from Naruto and Hinata," Just as she spoke, the sound of a loud engine revving echoed outside, followed by a chorus of excited voices.

"Looks like they're here," Sasuke said, heading toward the door, "You ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be," Sakura replied. Sasuke grabbed their bags as he followed her out.

As they stepped outside, they were greeted by the sight of Naruto's unmistakable orange van, parked haphazardly in the driveway. Naruto leaned out of the window, a wide grin on his face, "You guys ready to go? I've packed snacks for the whole trip!"

"Of course you did," Sasuke muttered under his breath, shaking his head.

Hinata's head peeked out of the passenger seat, "By snacks, he means just instant ramen."

Naruto's mouth went agape before closing it, "That's... sadly true."

Before Sakura could say anything, Sai's car followed behind. Ino jumped out of the passenger seat, her blonde hair bouncing. "Sakura! You look cute! Did you actually manage to pack everything?"

Sakura raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms playfully. "I probably packed more than you, honestly. More than I should have."

"Hm, I doubt that's true," Temari said, emerging from the backseat, a bag slung over her shoulder. "But let's get going! The sooner we hit the road, the sooner we can find a good spot on the beach."

As they piled into the car, Sakura felt a wave of excitement wash over her. The past few weeks had been way too hectic, and now? Well, it seemed like a well-deserved time off.

Maybe the chaos of packing hadn't been worth it, but the thought of spending time with her friends made it all worthwhile.

"Alright, everyone buckled up?" Naruto shouted, revving the engine again. "Let's hit the road!"
