"You can't be happy unless you're sometimes unhappy."

"Raven!" I heard them shouting my name, but I couldn't tell which voice belonged to who. Using willpower alone I was able to suppress Shira, but I felt mentally and physically drained. When I regain awareness I am strapped down to one of Hat-kun's operating tables with an IV in my arm. A bright light is shined into my eye causing me to blink rapidly.

"Raven, can you hear me?" Hat-kun's normally even voice sounded tired.

"Ya," I responded, my mouth feeling like cotton. Hat-kun sighed in relief before slumping back into a couch. "How long was I like that?"

"Ten hours, you had gone into some type of shock." He said while taking off his hat to rub his temples. I noticed the way his black hair stood up in every direction. If I hadn't been in so much emotional turmoil I might have laughed.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

"The whole time." Ha- no he's not wearing his hat anymore, Law says while his limbs go limp at his side.

"The whole time? You must be tired." I attempted to sit up, and when Law didn't protest, I stand and walk over to sit in the sofa next to him. He grunts in response to my question. I looked down at my hands for almost a minute before speaking. "Am I going to have to leave now?" I asked in almost a whisper.

"Huh?" he snapped out of his relaxed state. "I didn't just spend ten hours of my life trying to make sure that you are okay just to kick you out." I began laughing. Laughing at my captain who actually cared for me. Laughing at the fact that I barely escaped alive. Laughing at the fact that Law looked less intimidating when he was exhausted and had hat head. Laughing at how messed up my life and I have been. Law raised an eyebrow. As my laughter died down he finally spoke, "You really are a strange one. I guess I was right about you being interesting."

The captain lazily laid his head on my shoulder as I sat there, stunned. I was tense and didn't dare to move a muscle."If you want to go to sleep, I can help you get to your room." I offered after a minute of silence.

"No, this is just fine." He said. Soon his breathing became even and my own body began to relax. I stared at the handsome pirate captain who was currently sleeping on me. Yep, I definitely like him a lot better when he's tired.
