"Truly, the scariest thing is the human mind."

As the bear held me to the ground, the captain leapt down from the ship.

"I'm assuming that you read the news and aren't too happy with the navy chasing you?" Hat-kun guessed with an amused expression. I couldn't find the breath to talk so he continued on. "I'm also assuming that you want to prove that they're wrong without being interrogated?" He said, reading me like a book. "You seem to know how to shoot, why don't you join my crew? I can promise you safety from the marines, but with haki like yours I doubt you need it." Damn, did he realize how powerful I am? In that case I may need to really kill him, but can I? With lungs full of air I swept Bepo's feet out from under him and jumped up to my own. The pirate captain didn't flinch when I threw a punch at him. He simply dodged and then blocked my kick with his sheathed sword. I knew that he was about to use his devil fruit powers so I leapt back, out of his range. I have a strong sense of observers haki but only average armament haki. Trafalgar smirked at me, "So you've already figured out my range?"

I didn't answer with words, instead I started shooting my pistols again but this time infusing them with haki. The first bullet he dodged but it created a small crater in the ground behind him, his eyes widened in surprise. The next bullet would have found its target if Hat-kun hadn't mumbled something and switched it out for a rock. The bullet exploded several yards behind him. Damn it, I wasn't expecting to fight today. I'm almost out of bullets! The next bullet I infused with both types of haki, ensuring that it wouldn't sway from its mark. I fired the last two, hoping that they would do the job.

"Shambles!" I heard him yell aloud and again the two bullets were replaced with rocks, but instead of the previous outcome the bullets curved back around to him. He saw them coming at the last minute and ducked with barely a second to spare. The bullets weren't done yet, they curved back around yet again. He unsheathed his sword and cut the two bullets in half, stopping their momentum.

Damn, if I fight him hand-to-hand right now then I'm sure to lose. "You done yet, Miss Raven? I'm becoming tired of this game." Trafalgar called out to me, his eyes were, for once, serious. I had intended to fight, but I knew keeping my secret was more important. If I fought with those odds then she would have come out for sure. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Bepo rise to his feet, I'm not winning this am I?

"Fine," I called out. "What'd you say about protection from the navy?" I grumbled the last part but I wasn't all that surprised when Hat-kun smirked in triumph.
