"Pain never disappears, it simply lessens over time."
I spent the next two hours hunting for the furry hatted pirate but came up with nothing. It was the middle of the day and my anger was slowly being replaced with exhaustion. I had begun to give up on ever finding Hat-kun so I sat down in the middle of a town on grove 41. I had sat on a bench and begun to stare up at the sunny sky. Oh how I miss the sea. I mentally cursed myself for thinking such an absurd thought. I gave up on such petty things long ago. A sudden thud snapped me out of my thoughts. Laying on the ground beside the bench was a white bear with an orange jumpsuit. I store down at the strange creature, puzzled.
"Are you ok?" I asked while cautiously poking it with my foot. It didn't move so bent down beside it to see if he was breathing. His warm breath tickled my ear and I sighed in relief.
"Hot," he mumbled in his sleep. Did the bear just speak? I didn't ponder on it for too long because I began to feel sweat soaking his fur. I drug the large animal in the absurd outfit into the shadow of a tall building in attempts to cool him off.
"Stay right here," I instructed, feeling slightly ridiculous talking to a sleeping bear. I had ran to the nearest shop and purchased some water. When I returned to the shade the bear was still asleep, but seemed less miserable. I store down at the bright clothing and a black symbol caught my eye. I'm positive that I've seen that before, but where? Nothing came to mind so I decided not to think about it for too long. A few people walked by and gave me strange looks, I mean can you blame them? If I saw a girl wearing a long, black cloak in the middle of summer sitting next to an unconscious bear I would think it strange also.
"Where am I?" the bear asked, disoriented, as he sat up. I store at him with my mouth hanging wide open. So he can actually talk? That is so cool!
"Grove 41," I informed him after regaining my composure. "You passed out so I had to drag you into the shade."
"I'm sorry," he told me sullenly.
"No, no it's fine," I told the odd creature. "Here, have this." I held out the water and he grabbed it. He had downed the bottle in less than 30 seconds. "Maybe if you took off that ridiculous jumpsuit then you'd be less hot." I offered.
"I can't," he said in response. I guess I was staring at him in a funny way because he said," I'm sorry." I sweat dropped, why is he so negative? But he's so fluffy that it doesn't matter. See, there I go again, always finding the good in people.
"Here, why don't I help you get to where you are trying to go so you don't pass out in the middle of the road again?" I offered and he responded with a simple smile.
"I'm trying to get to my ship on Grove 38," he told me as we both stood up. As I've mentioned I'm not short, around 6', but the bear towered over me.
"Even though you're a bear you stand on two feet all the time," I commented as we began our walk to grove 38.
And to my surprise he said," I'm sorry." He is very gloomy. After that I didn't talk much, afraid to offend the furry creature. We had to stop and rest a few times so the bear wouldn't pass out despite it being a relatively short walk.
"By the way, I'm Raven." I told the white bear as we entered Grove 38.
"I'm Bepo," he had replied.
"So Bepo, why are you all the way out here is Sabaody Archipelago?" I asked in attempts to keep up a conversation.
"I'm a navigator and we're sailing to the New World. Oh, there's the ship." He told me while pointing to a huge bulk of metal, a submarine.
"Oh, Bepo, there you are." A familiar voice came from the top of the submarine. Of course, it was none other than the damn pirate, Trafalgar Law. The hood of my cloak was up, concealing my face.
"You!" I roared at the slim man. He lazily looked down at me, still not recognizing me. He didn't respond, instead he raised his eyebrow. The damn arrogant, cocky bastard! "It's all your fault!" as I said this a gust of wind swept by and flung my hood from my face. His eyes widened a bit in recognition but he remained silent. I gritted my teeth and bent my knees in preparation in attack. I'd seen him fight before, just barely, but it was enough to know to stay out of the blue film in which he created.
I held Bepo with my left arm and used my right to grab my pistol. I drew it out and only took half a second to aim it before pulling the trigger. Hat-kun looked surprised and barely had time to dodge the thing, it snipped away some of his hair. I wasted no time and fired two more shots, but this time he was ready. The blue film appeared around him and the bullets disappeared. Suddenly, I felt claws digging into the skin of my left arm. Before I could process what was happening I had been flipped onto my back, the wind knocked out of my lungs. Bepo?
