Above the roar of voices I began to detect another sound, electricity. It's soft hum almost made me more anxious. Jean mumbling curse words to himself beside me didn't help either. Suddenly, Trafalgar comes to a stop in front of us. He motions for us to stay quiet, but I doubt anyone would have heard us, they were making plenty of racket themselves. He points to a young boy passed out drunk in front of a makeshift door. He was probably supposed to be on guard.
"They're having a party," Jean mouths to me. I nod my head just barely, I feel like an empty shell.
"What's the plan?" I read Hawk's lips as he whispers to the captain.
"That depends on who and how many are in that room."
"I know that the co-captain, Ash Solomon, took most of the crew and left two days ago. So his wife is the only big gun in there." Hawk reads from a small notebook from his pocket.
"Misty Solomon, 450 million berri bounty," I recite her wanted poster from what I thought was a long forgotten memory.
"It's actually gone up to 500 million after they recently blew up an island in the New World." Hawk informs me gravely. "Despite the huge bounty, her fighting doesn't actually warrant that reward. Her bounty comes from her crew's destructive nature."
"What about the rest of the main family?" Law asks Hawk.
"Oldest daughter has been MIA for years and the younger is dead." Hawk flips over another page in the book that I now realize contains hand written notes. "Good thing too, one had a monster of a bounty. 600,000,000 at the young age of 12." he whistles lowly.
"So Misty-ya is the only one we really need to worry about? We should take her out of play early." Trafalgar says to himself but loudly enough for all of us to hear. Suddenly I don't feel empty, but am about to boil over with pent up rage.
"Captain, if you don't mind," I speak up meekly. "I'll distract her by myself while everyone takes out the rest of the crew."
"No offense Raven-ya, but you were shaking in fear not 10 minutes ago. I don't think you should take on that role." Trafalgar says to me in a whisper, trying not to let the rest of the crew hear.
"And no offense, Captain, but no one here is strong enough to actually defeat her. Even if you tried and won you'd have no stamina left to extract the hearts. At least let me try, that way you'd only lose one person instead of sending half the crew to keep her distracted." I retort in the same whisper as him. I take a step towards him and in a regular volume tell him, "besides, I have an ace up my sleeve."
"Raven," he grabs my wrist as I try to walk past him. I turn around and burn my gaze into his eyes. He doesn't budge and his eyes slowly study my face. Finally his look softens as he speaks, "You know what happened last time you fought a tough opponent."
"God, give me a little credit. I don't plan on using THAT." I rip my wrist out of his grip. I pull my hood over my head. "Let's get this show on the road."
A pause, then, "Let's go," I hear Hat-kun say. I feel my haki gathering in my foot as I kick open the poorly constructed door. Wood splinters go flying and all the drunken gazes are focused on me.
"Don't get in my way this time. This is MY revenge" I tell Shira. And, for once, she's quiet.
