A/N: What I imagine Becka to look like (Above)

February

Becka's POV

It was getting increasingly hard to hide my feelings for Erin. She had a big heart and she was loyal to her friends, even the Gryffindor scum she'd befriended a few years back. She was also very mysterious and I wanted to get to know her on a deeper level. She occasionally wrote over the summer but had never invited me or the others over during the summer.

I was trying the psych myself up to asking her to go out with me on Valentine's day in Hogsmeade, but it had been impossible so far with the rest of the group always around.

We were currently sitting in the common room in the evening, Tristan and Tyler were playing chess, and Erin was curled up in her favourite armchair, reading a book. I bit my lip, but nevertheless, got up and approached her before I changed my mind. She looked up.

'Hey, Ezza, do you have a second to talk?' I asked.

She looked confused, but regardless, followed me to the girls dormitories. 'What's up?'

'I was wondering... It's Valentine's day this weekend, so... I wanted to ask if you were doing anything?'

'Not as far as I'm aware, why?' She asked.

'Well, I was thinking, of going to Hogsmeade, maybe getting a drink at the 3 Broomsticks?'

'Yeah, were you thinking just you, or the whole group? I warn you though, it's going to be madly packed for Valentine's day, I reckon.' She chuckled. 'Good luck getting a seat.'

'Oh my god, Erin! I'm trying to ask you out here!' I exclaimed. 'I've been dropping hints all week!'

'Oh!' She blushed. 'Really? I mean, are you serious?'

'Yeah, I'm dead serious. I like you Erin.' I confessed.

'What's there to like?' She laughed. 'So, you want to take me out on Valentines day?'

'Yeah.' I bit my lip; a nasty habit when I was nervous.

'Yeah, okay.' She smiled. 'I'd love to.'

'Okay, great.' I grinned awkwardly. 'Erm, I'll get you get back to your book, now.'

Erin's POV

I was honestly taken aback by Becka's invitation to take me on a date. I never knew she was interested in me as more than a friend; I'd thought she was just being nice. This was how oblivious I was though to when someone liked me. There was a time last year when Blaise Zabini in the year below had expressed some interest and I'd politely turned him down because that was around the time I'd discovered I was into the same gender. I'd told my mum about being gay and she was very supportive, thankfully.

Speaking of my mum, she'd wrote to me recently about the mass breakout from Azkaban. Turns out one of the Death Eaters who'd escaped had been my father, but I hadn't heard from him since. I wasn't surprised. He was obviously in hiding.

Valentine's Day

'Erin, hey.' Becka looked relieved, as I arrived at the doors, leading out of the castle. She looked really pretty; she was wearing black skinny jeans, knee high boots, a black military jacket over a white knitted jumper and a thick black scarf. Her light blonde hair was flowing free and wavy.

'Hey Becka. You look gorgeous.' I smiled.

'Thanks, so do you.' She grinned. I was wearing a dark red skater dress that ended mid-thigh, black leather jacket with tights and ankle boots.
