2 Weeks Later

The morning had been long, heavy with anticipation. Lucius had approached me in the lounge, his voice soft but firm.

"Erin, the Dark Lord is making a visit this afternoon to check on your progress," he said.

I nodded, my stomach twisting in knots. My duelling session with Draco would have to wait. Somehow, the usual banter and friendly sparring felt trivial compared to what was coming.

"You might want to smarten yourself up," Lucius added, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Perhaps your new uniform."

I swallowed, feeling a strange thrill of nerves and dread. Narcissa had already shown me the five black uniforms she'd carefully sourced and modified for me; sleek, practical, and deadly in appearance. Today, I would wear one for the first time in an official context. My hand lingered on the wardrobe door before I pulled it open and carefully selected the outfit I felt most myself in: a fitted black high-necked top, black cargo trousers, the protective arm sleeves Narcissa had designed, a holster for my wand, military style boots, and a bomber jacket. I straightened my hair and added dark smoky makeup around my eyes, accentuating the seriousness of the occasion.

When I descended the stairs, Draco was there, looking up from a book in the lounge. His face lit up when he saw me. "Erin... you look great," he said softly, his usual teasing absent, replaced by genuine admiration.

"Thanks," I murmured, forcing a smile I hoped didn't betray my nervousness.

Within minutes, the air changed. The Dark Lord arrived, gliding into the room with a cold, commanding presence. Bellatrix followed, her smirk deliberate, teasing, and my father brought up the rear, his expression unreadable.

Bellatrix winked at me as she passed. My cheeks warmed. The past weeks had been... complicated. Every time we were alone, she dragged me somewhere private. I liked her, despite the danger she represented, despite the chaos she carried with her. Part of me wondered if that was the kind of danger I was drawn to, part of me felt guilty even thinking it.

"Erin Travers," the Dark Lord's voice cut through my thoughts.

"Dark Lord," I replied, bowing my head. My stomach churned with anticipation, the tension coiling like a snake inside me.

"You've been training for four and a half weeks. Your skills... your lethalness... are impressive." He studied me carefully. "Now, for your final test."

"Final test?" I repeated, unease tightening around my chest. Lucius hadn't warned me about this.

"To be a Death Eater, one must not allow emotions to interfere," the Dark Lord said. "Loyalty above all, distractions, attachments, personal attachments... they are weaknesses."

I nodded, trying to steady my breathing. I thought briefly of Bellatrix and Draco; my emotions were certainly a distraction.

"I want you to use the Cruciatus curse on your father," he said, gesturing to my dad, who stood silent, a strange mixture of pride and apprehension in his eyes.

My stomach sank. The thought of hurting him made my hands tremble.

"Surely, Erin," the Dark Lord's voice was soft, coaxing, "you are angry with him for abandoning you to Azkaban and disrupting your education? Surely you can channel that anger."

I hesitated, and the cold weight of the room pressed down. My father's face was calm, but his eyes encouraged me. "It's okay, Erin. You have to do what you have to do," he whispered.

I lifted my wand, drawing on every ounce of anger I could muster, telling myself this was a test. "Crucio," I whispered, my voice shaking. My father's pained scream echoed, each second of it reverberating in my chest. I forced myself to keep the curse going, my mind blanking, until finally, the Dark Lord's voice cut in.

"Enough."

My wand dropped to my holster. My hands were shaking. My chest heaved. I could still hear the echo of his pain.

"Very well, Erin," the Dark Lord said. "You have proven your loyalty. You are ready."

He gestured for me to hold out my arm. The cold fire of the wand against my skin made me flinch, but I didn't pull away. Lines of black twisted into the skull and serpent of the Dark Mark, burning into my forearm. My breath caught, a mixture of fear, pride, and a strange thrill coiling inside me.

As the Dark Lord departed, the room fell silent. Draco came forward impulsively, wrapping me in a tight hug. "Congratulations, Ezza," he murmured. His warmth grounded me, and I returned it briefly, though the weight of what I had just endured still pressed down on my chest.

Bellatrix's eyes glimmered from across the room, sharp and assessing, and I felt that pull again; the irresistible danger of her presence, that edge of obsession that made my pulse race.

"Now you are officially one of us, Erin," Lucius said, nodding with approval.

The room cleared, leaving Bellatrix and me. She approached slowly, deliberately, eyes dark and calculating, yet soft with something unspoken.

"You've changed," she said, voice low, almost a whisper. "Marked... part of our world now."

I swallowed hard, feeling my heart pound. "It... it's a lot," I admitted.

"It is," she agreed, stepping closer. "And now you belong here. All of you... you and your desires, your instincts... they belong to me."

I hesitated, torn. Every part of me knew how dangerous this was. Bellatrix was violent, unpredictable, ruthless. Getting close to her was dangerous. But my chest ached with a need I couldn't deny. There was something magnetic about her, a pull that went against my better judgment. Something inside me wanted to give in.

She leaned close, her breath brushing my cheek. "Don't fight it," she murmured. "You want this as much as I do."

I couldn't speak. My throat was dry. My mind was a tangle of excitement and fear, guilt and longing. For a moment, I imagined the chaos, the dark power, the thrill... and I shivered.

Draco's presence lingered in my mind; my loyalty to him, my bond with him. And yet, here was Bellatrix, stirring something primal in me, something I didn't want to resist. I had stepped into a world that had no rules for people like me. Everything I thought I knew about right and wrong was now blurred.

The afternoon passed slowly. Bellatrix didn't leave my side for long, her presence a constant reminder of danger and temptation. Draco was distant, polite but quiet, watching from the corner with wary eyes. And I... I was left alone with my thoughts, my heartbeat, the warmth of the Dark Mark on my forearm, and the intoxicating pull of a woman who was as dangerous as she was irresistible.

That night, lying in my room, I stared at the mark on my arm. My thoughts kept returning to Bellatrix, to the thrilling fear, the undeniable allure, the dangerous affection that had been ignited between us. I knew it was foolish. I knew it was dangerous. But the truth was undeniable: a part of me didn't want to resist. And somewhere deep down, I feared I might not.
