I sloped back into the house after a long day of training with Narcissa. Draco was sat in the lounge. He looked up when I entered. 'You look done in.' He commented.
I threw myself onto a couch. 'I am. Your mother kept us going none stop with duel training.'
'Hey, watch it, you trailed some dirt in from outside. Dad will kill you.' He pointed out.
'Oh crap, tergeo.' I waved my wand, making the dirt on the marble floor instantly disappear. 'Where is everyone?'
'Dad's off running some errands at the Ministry and mum's probably deciding on dinner.' He yawned. 'How are you holding up anyway? I know it can't be easy being away from your mum and your friends.'
'Honestly. I'm shocked I haven't had a breakdown yet. I'm already feeling homesick and I still haven't quite processed the prospect of not back to Hogwarts after the summer.' I shook my head.
'It'll get easier, I promise. You've got me.' He assured me. 'I'm always here if you need to talk.'
'Thanks Draco.' I smiled gratefully. 'I'm going to go and freshen up before dinner.'
He nodded so I headed up to my room, stripping out of my training gear and headed into the en-suite to take a quick bath and afterwards, I changed into some light grey joggers and a dark green tank top that showed a hint of cleavage. I sat in front of my marble dresser and mirror. I wiped my makeup off and took my hair down, which now resembled loose waves going down my back. I considered recolouring my hair. My mum had taught me how, but she hadn't gotten around to teaching me any other beauty spells. I sighed. She was probably going out of her mind, worrying. I'd maybe ask Narcissa if I could send her a letter. Surely she wouldn't begrudge me sending my own mother a letter?
Suddenly, Vaella, the house-elf appeared with a loud crack, making me jump. 'Miss Erin, Mistress Narcissa asked me to tell you that dinner will be ready in ten minutes.'
'Thanks Vaella.' I smiled. She bowed and then disapparated.
I sighed and headed downstairs.

The next morning
I drained the last of my coffee and took a bite of the croissant Vaella had brought me along with the coffee. I hadn't asked for breakfast, but maybe it was just Narcissa trying to be nice.
I slipped my sports bra and leggings on before putting my shoes on. I felt like being pretty today so I braided hair into 2 French braids.
I soon headed downstairs; there was nobody around. Draco had said bye to me an hour ago while he accompanied his father to the ministry today. I walked out to the back garden, where Bellatrix was waiting for me. My heart instantly started racing. She clocked me and smiled arrogantly. 'Hello, little Death Eater.'
'Hi.' I said stupidly.
'We won't be practicing here.' She told me. 'I've got a better place for us to practice.'
'But Narcissa said I'm to remain here at the manor, until further notice.'
'Unless it's necessary for training.' She reminded me. 'Take my hand.' She held out her hand for me to take. 'I won't bite.'
I hesitated.
'That is unless, of course, you want me to.' She smirked.
I sighed, taking her hand, ignoring how soft her skin felt against my palm and she disapparated us into an abandoned warehouse. There was light filtering in through windows at the top and there was nothing but a few crates dotted around and a...
Golden retriever?
It was just wandering around, sniffing at crates every now and then and it barked when we approached.
'What is this?' I frowned.
'Today, you're going to learning Unforgivable Curses!' She said brightly. 'I'm sure you're aware of them and what they're called?'
'Yes.' I said flatly.
'Good.' She pointed at the dog with her wand. 'This will be your test subject.'
'A dog?' I raised an eyebrow.
'They're very easily manipulated creatures, they're very smart and obedient, the perfect use for Unforgivable Curses.' She explained. 'Now, you'll be starting with the Imperius Curse. Getting the dog under your control, by mind control.'
'Okay.' I nodded, pulling my wand out. Should be easy enough.
'Now, just repeat the incantation, Imperio, and concentrate on the dog.' She ordered, moving directly behind me, so she was almost speaking directly in my ear.
I bit my lip, pointing my wand at the dog. 'Imperio.'
At once I felt an amazing sense of control, like I was inside the dog's mind, and without thinking about it, I thought, jump on the nearest crate.
At once, the golden retriever jumped onto the nearest crate.
'Very good.' Bellatrix cackled. 'Now, the Cruciatus curse.'
'The torturing one..?' My hand shook. I remember how that had felt on me. And she wanted me to inflict it on some poor innocent animal?
'I - I can't.' I trembled.
She narrowed her dark eyes. 'Why not?'
'It's just a poor dog! I can't just torture an innocent animal like that!'
'You can, and you will! This is what you have to do if you want to be a Death Eater!' She hissed.
I laughed. 'I never wanted to. I have to, I've got no choice in the matter.'
'Oh, pathetic! Look, it's easy!' She pointed her wand at the dog. 'Crucio!'
'No!'
The dog suddenly fell off the crate and onto the floor, howling in pain. She lifted her wand after a couple of seconds. 'Your turn.'
I took a deep breath, shaking. I turned my wand on the poor dog which was cowering with it's ears back. 'Crucio.'
The dog gave a pained whine, but then seemed fine. I frowned in confusion.
'You've got to mean it, Erin!' She yelled. 'Here, I'll make it easier for you-'
She pointed her wand at the dog again and at once, it transformed into a dragon about the size of a train compartment. It started making threatening noises and shot fire at a crate which burst into flames, shooting sparks in the air.
It started advancing on us.
'Go on little Death Eater, before it turns you into a lump of charcoal!' Bellatrix prompted.
The dragon shot a ball of fire at us; we ran in the opposite direction to avoid it. 'Erin, now!'
I raised my wand, summoning as much anger as I could. 'Crucio!'
At once, the dragon backed off, screeching in obvious pain. It kept shaking its head, backing into a corner, as I advanced with my wand, keeping the curse trained on it.
Bellatrix laughed delightedly. 'That's more like it! Now finish it off!'
'Finish it off?' I turned to her for a split second.
'The killing curse!'
'No!' I shook my head, lowering my wand. 'I'm not going to kill it.'
'Oh for- Avada Kedavra!'
The killing curse hit the dragon square in the chest, and it let out an almighty screech before crumpling lifelessly to the floor.
