Chapter 5: Tyrone

The following day, Matt and Destiny went out to explore their village. Tyrone had to stay home and pretty much help Sam set up their garden and plant certain seeds. Tyrone was sad that he didn't get to do fun things with his little brother nor with Destiny. Especially her. But he somewhat found comfort in planting seeds in the garden. It made him feel useful and cooperative. Sam even took him to the village to purchase more seeds and plants for their garden.

"I would use magic to do this, but gardens should be made with love." explained Sam to Tyrone.

"I see." replied Tyrone.

"With the plants we grow here, we can also use them for medical reasons. In fact, the doctors in Rood Bridge Park use plants to heal and help people." said Sam.

"Really? They don't use pills or anything like that?" asked Tyrone.

"No. Here in Rood Bridge Park, in any village, flowers, plants and even insects are used for medical reasons and properties." said Sam.

"I imagine that there are schools here that teach that sort of thing?" asked Tyrone.

"Yes. There are schools that are just as big as the one Matt is going to attend and people learn so much. However, like in the outside world, you do need to pay for schools and there are scholarships and such." said Sam.

"So only the rich can go huh?" asked Tyrone.

"The schools are open for everyone. But they do require scholarships and letters of recommendations. Some of them, not all of them." said Sam.

"So what makes Rood Bridge Park so special anyway, aside from walking talking Sasquatches and giant Moth People." said Tyrone.

Sam chuckled and placed his hand on Tyrone's shoulder. And there was this sudden twinkle in Sam's eyes. "I'm going to show you. Come with me." he said.

Sam summoned a carriage, and they both headed out into the forest.

"Are we really going out there?" asked Tyrone.

"You wanted to see some of Rood Bridge Park itself. Plus, if you're going to live here, you must learn our ways. In an "ahem" safe manner of course." said Sam.

"Ahem? What do you mean by "ahem?"" asked Tyrone.

Eventually, the carriage stopped in the middle of a forest, far from the village and Sam got out excitedly.

"Look Tyrone! Feast your eyes on this tree! Look at this giant tree before you!" exclaimed Sam.

"I see the tree. I see it." said Tyrone, sounding a little fearful. It was quite a while since he heard Sam speak so theatrically and very villain-like. Sam was usually a stern and serious man who always wore a plaid flannel, and he didn't look like a cape wearing BogeyMan. However, despite wearing his normal attire, the way he moved, the way he explained things was very Bogey Man-like. Tyrone could just imagine him wearing a cape, a top hat, a monocle and a suit. There was however a feature of Sam that did give Tyrone goosebumps. Whenever Sam got excited or thrilled over something, his eyes would start glowing yellow.

And this was just what was happening just now. Sam's eyes were glowing. And his smile was wide, showing his perfect white teeth.

"This tree, Tyrone, has been in this very spot for as long as I can remember! Here, you will see for yourself the beauty and majesty of Rood Bridge Park! You will learn how beautiful our land is! Come with me! Climb this tree with me and you shall see!" said Sam.

"Okay." said Tyrone very nervously. As Sam started to climb the tree, Tyrone tried and to his surprise, he was able to climb it? Tyrone was never a tree climber. He looked down and saw that his feet were perfectly caught in the tree's bark. Tyrone followed Sam, who was way ahead of him.
