Chapter 59: Uriel

"You idiot. How dare you!" snapped Bonbon to Uriel as they walked underground, ready to meet with their soldiers.

"I can do what I wish, Captain Bonbon. Or should I call you Lord Bonbochelly. Besides, Imani gave me strict orders to protect our village. Joti and the Mothman aren't here right now, and even if they were, I know what I'm doing." said Uriel.

"You are not ready for such a responsibility boy!." said Bonbon.

"Oh, and Thomas is?!" cried Uriel.

"What about Thomas?" said Bonbon.

"Apparently he's with Imani. She told him to stay longer." said Uriel.

"Oh that girl! Seriously! She's as naive as ever! Just like her beloved mother, rest her soul. But Uriel, I strongly suggest you stand down. Allow me to command the guard." said Bonbon.

"I CAN DO THIS!" shouted Uriel. Bonbon wasn't taken aback by Uriel's tone of voice. After all, he was blind. He couldn't see Uriel's face. But he did feel his aura. His negative emotions and negative way of thinking.

"It seems that your time patrolling Tillamook took a toll on your well being." said Bonbon.

Uriel ignored him and Bonbon continued speaking.

"There's something else going on, is there? Your anger has nothing to do with Zakariak's attack at all. This is about Thomas isn't it?" said Bonbon.

"You have no idea. Thomas shouldn't be here to begin with. He's got other duties." said Uriel as he opened a door that led outside to where a few Sword Warriors were waiting. Some of them were of course villagers with beautifully crafted swords, armor and a few of them not only carried swords, but pistols, guns, and any other weapon imaginable. A Sword Warrior didn't limit themselves to swords.

"Then here's my suggestion for you, Uriel. Speak with Imani and tell her your concerns." said Bonbon.

"She would not listen to me. I know her heart belongs to Thomas." said Uriel.

"Oh? Then what of your heart Uriel?" asked Bonbon.

"What about it?" asked Uriel.

"If your heart does not belong to Imani, have you ever considered looking for someone who would accept your heart instead?" asked Bonbon.

"Are you suggesting I leave Imani?" asked Uriel.

"Yes. Your heart does not belong to her. You know I'm telling you the truth." said Bonbon.

"I can still make her heart belong to me. My love for her is grand." said Uriel.

"Is it really love boy? Is it?" asked Bonbon.

"What do you mean?" asked Uriel.

"What is it about Imani you love? Why do you love her? Is it the way she talks? The way she smiles? Or, do you simply love her because of her body?" asked Bonbon.

"How dare you!" cried Uriel.

"I'm speaking to you man to man Uriel. I may be a furry animal, yet I speak the language of man. Your infatuation with Imani is unhealthy and very dangerous. Should you let your emotions be in charge, you might do something you will regret." said Bonbon wisely, pointing a small claw at Uriel like a grandfather.

Uriel gave in.

"Imani. Not a day goes by that I think about her. Her soul. Her heart. Everything about her. I know I love her. I do. But with Thomas here... no. I won't let him have her." said Uriel.

"And so begins your battle for love, Uriel. But I strongly suggest you leave your infatuation behind and find someone else who will truly love you. If you don't, the dark impulse will find a way to consume your heart and you will fall into despair. Remember what happened to your father?" said Bonbon.

Uriel then turned to Bonbon with fiery red eyes. Whenever a Mothperson got angry, their eyes would glow red, even without a vision. Uriel's nostrils flared with anger as he looked at Bonbon.

"He's irreverent! Like you said, my battle for love has just begun. I will fight for her. And Thomas will be the one who leaves. I'll make sure of that." said Uriel.

Bonbon let out a sigh of disappointment and Uriel got up to the stand.

"Today our village is going to be attacked. Sword Warriors, fight with all your might! Do not let Zakariak take over our village! He must be dealt with for his crimes!" cried Uriel. The Sword Warriors all cheered and raised their swords. Uriel watched from the crowd, and then he saw "him". He saw Thomas, standing stoically with his sword in hand.

Uriel scowled at him as the Sword Warriors then turned to leave when the gates opened. He then spread the large dark wings from his cape and fell to the ground and ran after them, holding his own sword.

Bonbon was about to jump to join the fight when he heard a voice from behind him.

"That mothboy has a temper. And your sage advice never fails to amaze me." said a tall person wearing a white cloak.

Bonbon sniffed the air and he gasped for a second. But he relaxed when he realized the person he sniffed was "the good one".

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in Xilacuallapan?" asked Bonbon.

"Xilacuallapan esta bien. The Dark Impulse is no longer an issue there." said the person who was wearing a long white cloak.

"If you're here, then you have heard about what happened to Morgana? You know it was Martin who pulled the trigger, yes?" asked Bonbon.

The person in white nodded and Bonbon growled. "I saw what he did in Cosmic Village. I can smell the iron of his sword anywhere." said Bonbon.

"I just wanted to confirm if it was really him at Morgana's trial." said the person in white.

"Aye, twas him. Martin said he's still Bryan's puppet." said Bonbon.

"I see." said the person in white.

Bonbon scoffed. "Your return couldn't have happened at a more inappropriate time. The Dark Impulse is getting stronger with each passing day." said Bonbon.

"Yes. The forest, although beautiful, reeks of Dark Impulse wherever I go. I know Martin is enjoying the chaos." said the person in white.

"What are you going to do young man? The time of avenging your father has passed." said Bonbon.

"I'm going to prepare myself. Martin will attack once more. But not today." said the person in white.

"Then good luck to you, angel of the El Hierro family." said Bonbon.

"Likewise captain." said the person in white, as he walked away.
