Chapter 32: Tyrone and Destiny

Destiny could feel the chills in her bones. She wasn't surprised to feel such things. She felt it back at Mt. Hood, when she along with Tyrone and Matt faced the dark impulse's power and the shadows were unleashed into the world.

And now, the feeling of fear is much stronger than ever before. Tyrone on the other hand felt it as well. Perhaps even more so when they were traveling to the next village. Instead of going to their destination, they stopped in a small village called Cosmic Lane. It was a couple miles away from Neon Village, yet the scenery was different. It felt more cozy and more like an actual village than where they were at.

"Tyrone, do you have your sword sharpened?" asked Bonbon, his paws resting on his cane/sword.

"Yes." replied Tyrone.

"Good, you're going to need it." said Bonbon.

"When?" asked Tyrone.

"Soon. And I fear it's going to happen sooner than we think." said Bonchelly.

Tyrone felt chills. Bonchelly may be a blind creature, but he was a master Sword Warrior. He knew what he was talking about.

"Tyrone, how are you feeling?" asked Destiny.

"Afraid." replied Tyrone. With Destiny, he felt he could tell her anything.

"Good. I'm afraid too." she replied softly.

The two of them observed Joshua and Thomas. They both looked uncomfortable as well. Gannon and Garret were not their usual selves. In fact, the minute they stepped into Cosmic Land, they realized there were no people around. No villagers. No fruit vendors. Nothing at all.

"Where is everybody?" asked Garret nervously.

"Maybe they went to the bahamas?" asked Gannon, smiling at his brother.

"The bahamas? That's in the outside world doofus." said Garret.

"Enough you two. I smell something ugly." said Bonbon.

"You can smell it. I, on the other hand, can feel it. Unhappiness. Loneliness. Hatred of the worst kind." said Joshua.

Thomas scouted ahead and got on one knee on the floor. He looked around and he came back to the group.

"There was some sort of evacuation. Sword Warriors who live here escorted the villagers to safety. I see they were in their formations. The villager's feet are all over the place." said Thomas.

"Evacuation huh?" said Joshua, scanning the area.

Bonbon then started to laugh. It caught everyone off guard and Tyrone walked beside Destiny, trying to cover her in case whatever it was that was making the old blind dog laugh was somehow airborne.

"Everyone, what you are about to see is not a figment of your imagination. I have felt and touched this evil a long time ago. I know exactly what it is. BEHOLD!" and with that, Bonchelly pulled out his sword from his cane, jumped into the air and then screamed some words.

"Ratatatatatata!" he cried. Sharp looking light beams were shot out of his sword and they flew into the air and dropped to the ground. Upon landing, everyone heard shrieks.

Everyone pulled out their weapons. Joshua with his vials full of poison and weird chemicals, Destiny and Tyrone with their training swords, Gannon with his massive sword and Garret with his two guns. Thomas on the other hand pulled out two machetes.

The shrieks were not normal. They waited until a creature came out of hiding. It was black all over like a shadow, and it had horns and hooves. It looked like a fawn, only that its eyes were bright yellow. And then, a couple more came out.

"What are these?" asked Destiny.

"We simply call them shadows. They were created by Viscount Bryan to hurt innocent folk. It is said they came from the bottomless pits of hell." said Thomas.

Joshua threw a vial and the creature transformed into a tree. Garret began to fire his pistols and everyone scattered fighting the fawn like shadows.

Tyrone started to hurt one and it fell to the ground dead. Upon landing, its body disappeared. This fight took him back to when they were fighting similar monsters at Mt. Hood. Perhaps Destiny felt the same, thought Tyrone. He looked up and saw Destiny run into the village. Tyrone ran after her.

"Tyrone! Follow me! But be careful!" she cried as she took down a few Fawn Shadows.

Tyrone nodded and fought off a few until they reached the back of a house. They found two crying children hugging their father, who had blood running from his forehead. Destiny knelt down and put her fingers on the man's neck. She looked at Tyrone sadly and shook her head.

"No way." said Tyrone softly. He looked at the crying children and Tyrone felt an intense wave of emotions in his heart. Destiny felt the same as well. They got up and Destiny got the kids closer to her.

"I'm going to give them hell." said Tyrone.

"Wait. We can't take the kids to everyone else. They are fighting. We need to run and take them far away from here." said Destiny.

"LOOK OUT!" cried Tyrone.

Destiny turned around and swung her sword at a shadow that was about to attack her. The shadow split into two and the kids started to cry.

"We can't fight like this. Destiny, take the kids inside and lock yourselves in." said Tyrone.

Destiny nodded and pulled the kids to herself. "Hold on to me." she said. She opened the door and she and the kids slid inside. Tyrone ran back to help the others while Destiny closed the door with a lock.

When she did, she heard a noise. She turned to the children to be quiet. She herself was going to check it out. She walked into the living room quietly and heard noises. Grunting noises. She heard it coming from the kitchen. She quietly pulled her sword and walked to see what it was.

She took a peek and saw one of the shadow monsters. But this one was not a fawn. It looked like a giant pelican, making its odd bird noises as it cleared the cupboards. Destiny got out of hiding and looked at the shadow bird angrily.

"Go back to your fucking hell!" hissed Destiny. And with that, she beheaded the pelican shadow.
