11 : Heart

Noah's POV

It is currently noon as we land back in New York for the break. We all flew in together but Ava and Julia are going their separate ways now that we have landed. They live about twenty minutes away from Colby. We said our goodbyes before me and Colby got in the car.

"Noah"

"Hmm?" I turn my attention to Colby.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, why?" I look at her with question.

"You haven't stopped bouncing your leg since we got in the car" my eyes went down to my leg to look at it. It is in fact bouncing up and down. I didn't even realize that it was doing that.

"S-sorry" I stop bouncing. My hands run over my thighs. Colby grabs my hand into hers. I feel an instant calmness.

"For someone who is very terrifying when they are mad and so bold it is kind of funny seeing you this nervous" she laughs.

"Oh so you find this funny?" I ask.

"I mean, a little" she smiles. I can't be mad with that smile. "Babe, I have seen you threaten someone with a knife pushed to their throat, scare off a football player, and never back down from anyone. So the fact that it looks like you are going to piss your pants talking to my parents who are harmless is pretty funny"

"Those things are easy. This is way harder" I rebuttal.

"Why?"

"Because I can lose you and have no control over it" I answer. "I can step in to stop someone from hurting you, I will make sure anyone that flirts with you knows that you are mine, and I am confident that I can beat the shit out of anyone. But with this I can't force your parents to like me. I can't intimidate them into approving of us. And I would never do anything like that to begin with. So if they disapprove and never want to see me again I will respect their decision"

"Noah, things will be okay" she moves closer to me. "The qualities that you have are the ones that most parents would want in someone that is dating their kid. Don't let your nerves make you think that you don't deserve to be with me or that they will disapprove. And I know that you would respect their decisions but if you think that you are going to walk away from this because of my parents then I am going to be the one that you should be nervous to talk to. Got it?" Colby says with a stern tone. Her demanding and dominant tone is so sexy. I fold every time.

"Yes princess" I smile.

We finally arrive at the Carmichael manor. Leo is waiting by the door as we pull into the driveway. The butlers and maids help with our bags. I carry mine in.

"Good to see you again Ms. Colby. You as well Noah" Leo greets.

"I missed you Leo" Colby hugs him before they do a handshake. I didn't know they had one. I watch as they do their routine.

"How long has that been a thing?" I ask once they are done.

"Since I was ten" Colby answers.

"Your parents have prepared lunch. They are waiting for the both of you in the backyard" Leo starts to walk us to the back. I let one of the butlers take my bag to my room although I wanted to take it myself.

"So, did my advice work?" Leo asks me. Colby is ahead of us walking to her parents. I give him a look of confusion not recalling what he is talking about. "About giving Ms. Colby time to warm up to?" oh we have definitely warmed up to one another.

"O-oh, yes. We are all good. Better than good actually"

"Excellent. I was scared that we were going to have to fire you. I like you so I'm glad it worked out" me too.
