13 : Sorry

Colby's POV

"Noah!" I hear someone shout. I look up to see a man and women in a black suit. The same one that Noah used to wear when she first started working for us.

I grab the gun that was beside Noah, pointing up at them. I don't know how to use a gun but they don't know that. Both of them freeze and put their hands up.

"Stay away from her!" I shout.

"Colby, we are here to help. We work for Mrs. Kane, Noah's grandmother" the woman answers.

"We came along with Noah when she first started this assignment" the man says calmly.

"How do I know you aren't lying and actually work for Luther?"

"They're telling the truth," Noah answers. I slowly put the gun down to allow them to approach. They run over and immediately start to help Noah.

"It looks like the bullet just grazed the side of your head but we need to get you to the hospital now" the man tells Noah. He lifts her up into her arms.

"What about my parents?" I ask them as we run to their car.

"Your parents are safe. Our other colleagues took them to safety and took Leo to the hospital" she answers. "He is in critical condition" my heart sinks knowing that both Noah and Leo can die tonight. They both could die because of me.

I get in the back seat with Noah and the man while the woman drives. The man uses some gauze to cover the wound. She is still losing a lot of blood. I can see Noah's face begin to get pale. Her body trembling with coldness. I reach for her hand, holding it tightly.

The hospital is in my view. The car stops abruptly. The man carries Noah into the hospital with the blood of Noah smearing all over his shirt. I am stopped by a nurse when I try to go in with Noah.

"Mrs. Carmichael, we should get you checked out" the woman tells me.

"No I need to be here for Noah"

"It is going to be a few hours before we hear anything. Please let the nurses check you" I nod my head. A nurse assists me to get an examination.

She is going to be okay. She has to be okay. That is what I keep telling myself but I am not believing it. I am scared that I will lose her. Seeing Noah covered in blood. Not being able to stop it from leaving her body is something I can never unsee.

After my exam I was cleared to go to the waiting room for Noah. As I walk out I see my parents sitting with five guards surrounding the room. They must be more guards that were sent here with Noah as I do not recognize them as our guards. They all have the same suit. My parents run over to me hugging me tightly. My mom starts to cry and my dad won't let me go.

My emotions come out in their embrace. They do not say anything. I am sure they know what has happened to Noah.

My crying does not stop for a while. I stay in my father's arms until I cry myself to sleep.

"Where is she!" a shout wakes me up. I jump at the sudan noise. "Where's my daughter!" a blonde woman shouts at one of the guards.

"She's still in surgery Ms. Elliott" the guard answers. Ms. Elliott, wait as in Noah's mom Elliott? I look at the time to realize it has been a few hours since we first arrived.

"Elliott calm down!" an older woman pulls her back from the guard. "Yelling at him will not get you answers or fix anything"

"I-i'm sorry. I just...I need her to be okay" the woman's eyes begin to get watery. The older woman hugs the blonde tightly.
