Noah's POV

"You what?!" my mom asks with a loud tone in her voice. When I got home I was going to tell my moms but then I backed out. So I waited until the next day. I figured it would also be easier to tell everyone at once so we are currently all sitting in the dining room. With my moms and grandmas all sitting at the table with me.

I told them that I wanted to talk about getting my memory back. Which we did, but then I told them that I proposed to Colby after her graduation party.

"Umm...I'm engaged" I reply back. "It wasn't planned before you ask. I didn't even have a ring. But in the moment I knew that I wanted to. I want to marry Colby. I know that she is the person I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with"

They all stay quiet. Not sure what they are thinking about. Their silence is making me nervous. These seconds feel like hours.

"Well when is the wedding?" my mom is the first to speak. Her question makes me smile.

"We both agreed that it would be best to wait some time. I don't think the wedding will be this year or next year either"

"Colby is an amazing girl. We are very happy for the both of you" grandma Drew says.

"Thank you" I say with a gleeful smile. I would marry Colby no matter what. Knowing that my family approves and thinks so many good things about her makes it feel more amazing.

They all get up. Each giving me a hug of congratulations. Hunter was right, my mom was a bit upset that she didn't know I was going to propose. She said she wanted to help with the planning and the ring. I told her that I would need her help to pick a ring. I want to get Colby the ring she deserves. That kind of stuff isn't my thing so I know that I will need my mom's help.

The moment I tell the rest of my family I know that they will be the same way. Everyone is going to want to be a part of the planning in some way. My family is good at a lot of things, parties are one of those things. We take every celebration seriously. Do we go overboard at times? Of course, but we always have a good time. There is no doubt that this time will be any different.

"Noah can you please come to my office" my grandma calls me.

"Yes, I'll be there in a moment" I reply.

For the past few months I have been working at Stark Securities along with my aunt Brooks. Since high school I have been taught about the company and have worked here during the summer. Coming in I knew a lot, but learning the day to day operations took some time. I have also been working with our investors and partners to learn as much as I can.

I knock on my grandma's door before walking in.

"Take a seat Noah" she tells me. My aunt Brooks is already sitting across my grandma's desk. I take a seat next to aunt Brooks.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"I wanted to talk to you both before everyone else knows"

"Knows what mom?" Brooks asks.

"I'm retiring" she answers. "As of tomorrow I will no longer be in charge of the company...you both will"

Me and my aunt look at each other, not sure if what we are hearing is reality.

"I thought that you were going to work until the end of the year?" Brooks asks.

"That was the plan, but seeing how well you and Noah have been working I am confident in stepping down and giving you both the company" she smiles. "You both will be co-CEOs"
