Chapter 8:
***WARNING: If you are a boy this chapter might seem a little girly. Don't say I didn't warn you***
Here it is:
I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep so I grabbed my laptop and started going through my mail. It consisted of stuff about scholarships, discounts and old messages from friends. The rest was just crap. I ditched my efforts of organizing my mail and grabbed my iPod. I pressed shuffle and then the perfect song to describe how I was feeling played. It was called 'Do you know' by Enrique Iglesias. I stared at ceiling and looked at the pictures of me and my friends enjoying ourselves and goofing off.
What was I thinking?! I don't need Alex. He should mean nothing to me just like I meant nothing to him. He only needed me for this stupid project that we have. After that i'll go back to being unnoticed and he'll go and fuck half of the female student body.
I checked my alarm clock it was now 4:30 so I laid down, closed my eyes, and willed myself to go back to sleep.

When I woke up again it was 10:00 a.m. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and went downstairs. I saw my mom cooking over the stove and smelled bacon.
Katilyn and my dad were already seated at the kitchen table. Katilyn was texting on her phone and my dad was reading the sports section of the newspaper.
" Good Morning" I said groggily.
" Hey" Katilyn said.
" Mornin' sweetheart " my parents said in unison.
I went to the cabinet and got out plates and forks for everyone. I placed each plate in front of each person.
" Thanks Hun" my mom said.
I sat down and waited for my breakfast to come to me. My mom served my dad and Katilyn and then made her way to me. She piled pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon onto my plate. I quickly consumed my food and then headed back upstairs. I was going to walk Sparks but decided against it since I might run into the biggest Jerk in my neighborhood. I locked my bedroom door and grabbed my radio.
I set my radio on top of my bathroom toilet and put a 'Taking Back Sunday' cd in. The song 'Make Damn Sure' blasted on and I slipped off my clothes and entered the shower.
An good hour later, I got out of the shower with steam rising from my skin. I walked into my closet and grabbed a pair of sweat and 'Pierce the Veil' t-shirt. I went back into the bathroom and turned off the radio.
I crawled back into bed and suddenly the door burst open and Crystal stood there with a smile on her face. Oh no, I knew that look she was up to something.
"Hello, bestie!" She drawled.
"Hi, would you like to tell me exactly what you're up to today,?"
"Nothing. So are you up for shopping today"
"So that's it? That's what you wanted,?"
"Pretty much!"
She sat on the edge of my bed and I let out a groan. As much as wanted to go shopping, I was really tired and didn't want to be walking for the majority of my day.
"Did you bring your car with you?"
"Of course I did....so are you coming? And please say 'yes'!"
"Umm......Ok if you don't invite anyone else."
"Ok, I won't! It'll just be us having a girls night out and then later on we could watch that new movie that came out Friday. Now go get dressed."
I returned to my closet and grabbed a pair of jean short, my black and white converse, a pair of black diamond stud earrings, and my black dream catcher necklace.
