Chapter 18:
*Alex's POV*
I can't believe I did it again. I touched my kiss swollen lips just to make sure this wasn't some sick dream. Or a nightmare. How could I fall for Sophia? Yes, she has the looks and smarts but I'm not sure how I feel about liking a nerd.
'Don't worry' I mentally reassured myself.
Soon I'll go to Angel Matthews party, find the girl who was talking about me in the library, and maybe bang her. Either way I was definitely getting laid at that party. It'll help take some of my stress away.
Before heading home I took a short jog around the neighborhood. It always helped me clear my mind. I stopped at the park and sat on the bench. I know it was night and all but I just really needed to clear my mind and the park was a place that brought out my down-to-earth side.
I embraced the cool spring breeze. It was cold and then I realized I should've at least brought a sweater or something. I eventually got tired so I headed back to my place so that I could take a long nap. On my way home, I spotted a couple. They were holding hands and the guy swooped in for a kiss. It instantly reminded me of Sophia and her soft lips. Her hazel eyes were surprised when I kissed her but she closed her eyes and accepted the kiss.
I arrived to my front porch, I took one last glance at Sophia's place before entering mine. Once I was safely inside my house I dodged my family and ran downstairs to my room. I know what you're thinking downstairs? Well 2 years ago I asked my parents if I could have my bedroom in the basement. After a few weeks of begging, my parents agreed and moved my bedroom to the basement. Then they converted my old bedroom to a guest room for when my grandmother or anyone wanted to sleep over.
My bedroom walls were navy blue with a huge poster of Taking Back Sunday. I had a king sized bed and a plasma tv that I loved to watch football games on. Then I had a desk across the room for studying but I hardly used it until now. The best part about moving my bedroom downstairs was that I had my own bathroom inside of the room. While my parents shared 1 bathroom to themselves. I was completely tired so I didn't bother with a shower. I slipped off my sneakers and jumped into my bed. I picked my iPhone off of my bedside table and put the earphones on. I pressed shuffle and laid back listening to the songs that Taylor downloaded into the phone. Ten minutes, in my bed and I literally knocked out a if someone punched me and caused my sleeping state.
***************
I woke up at 6:35. I entered my bathroom and turned on the shower. The cool water cascaded onto my burning hot skin. After 20 minutes, I was out of the shower doused with some cologne on me. It was finally the day to present the work I've done on the project. There was only one problem: Sophia. I hate to admit it but I couldn't concentrate when it came to her.
I wish I could skip class but with my grades that wasn't an option. I grabbed a black muscle shirt, faded jeans and black vans. I messed up my hair even more and then headed upstairs for some breakfast. Normally, my parents were already in the kitchen but instead I found a note.
